Marienplatz: Il cuore di Monaco. Proprio qui, nel vivace battito della città, sorge Marienplatz. Questa storica piazza è stata per secoli il fulcro centrale di Monaco, famosa per il suo splendido Nuovo Municipio con l'iconico Glockenspiel e l'atmosfera vivace. È il punto di partenza perfetto per la nostra esplorazione di questa incredibile città! Abbiamo la nostra breve introduzione qui prima di iniziare il tour in bicicletta.
Facciamo una breve sosta qui per i nostri ospiti per acquistare acqua e poncho e farvi sapere dove siamo nel caso in cui si desidera noleggiare biciclette dopo il tour.
Il Platzl: Sede del Monaco Heartbeat. Questa affascinante piazza storica è essenzialmente il luogo di nascita della leggendaria cultura della birra di Monaco! È famosa per ospitare la famosa Hofbräuhaus e le sue strade di ciottoli sono fiancheggiate da edifici tradizionali bavaresi. Il Platzl cattura perfettamente l'essenza della vecchia Monaco, rendendola una sosta vivace e autentica.
Ci fermiamo qui per raccontare agli ospiti della Cancelleria di stato bavarese e l'Hofgarten.
La Residenza, un magnifico complesso di edifici a Monaco di Baviera, era un tempo il palazzo reale dei monarchi Wittelsbach di Baviera. Questo imponente palazzo ospita oltre 130 camere, tra cui lo splendido Teatro Cuvilliés e la storica Sala Ercole. La Residenza è una testimonianza della storia e dello splendore architettonico bavaresi, offrendo ai visitatori uno sguardo sullo stile di vita opulento della famiglia reale. Pedaliamo per i Cortili ma non entriamo. Puoi farlo a tuo piacimento dopo il tour. L'ammissione è quindi applicabile.

Ci fermiamo qui per un po 'a spiegare la storia che ha avuto luogo qui per molti secoli e dare anche ai nostri ospiti l'opportunità di vedere la chiesa di St. Kajetan dall'interno.

Facciamo un giro panoramico lungo l'Isar - il motivo per cui molti abitanti del posto vivono qui come questa è la nostra "Spiaggia" in estate.
Abbiamo una breve sosta qui sul lato opposto del fiume Isar prima di continuare lungo il fiume fino alla fermata successiva.
Terminiamo il nostro tour vicino a questa fermata della S-Bahn.
Il Maximilianeum, un grande edificio neorinascimentale, fu commissionato dal re Massimiliano II di Baviera nel 1857. Progettato da Friedrich Bürklein, inizialmente serviva come istituto educativo per studenti dotati. Situato sulle rive del fiume Isar, il Maximilianeum è un punto di riferimento suggestivo sulla Maximilianstrasse, un rinomato viale fiancheggiato da palazzi neogotici. Ci fermiamo qui per una foto veloce. Sebbene la costruzione sia stata ritardata, l'edificio è stato infine completato nel 1874 e da allora ha subito lavori di ristrutturazione, in particolare dopo la seconda guerra mondiale.

Bike ride was awesome. Especially our guide Bob. He was so knowledgeable about not only Munich and it’s history but how it relates to ancient history. Also explained history of its culture and religion. Very moderate to easy in terms of biking. Lots of stops to points of interest and of course the Beirgarten was the perfect stop toward the end.

We did the cycling tour of Munich on a day that it was really hot weather. We were in a group of 12 and our guide Scott was great at trying to keep us in the shade, whilst he told us the history of the different buildings and landmarks. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. We really enjoyed it, the bikes were well maintained and we were offered helmets to wear.

Nice route, also doable for 2 children in our group, from around 10 years. Our guide told us a lot and we cycled past interesting places in and around the city. And for a large part through the park where no cars came, that was relaxed cycling. And also had a nice lunch.
