You will be riding in a medium size bus. There were about 30 in our group. I liked that they had ponchos for us because it was raining. Muir Woods was beautiful. Sausalito was nice but nothing spectacular. We had an hour there to browse shops. You could take the ferry back if you wanted to stay longer.
It's a nice stop in Muir Woods. I could live without Sausalito. They stop there just so you'll spend some money but it's not long enough for a meal.
Itinerary I booked showed an hour at Sausalito and a photo stop st Vista Point. We only had 45 minutes at Sausalito and no stop at Vista Point. I would have preferred a little less time at Muir Woods. I was a little disappointed with this tour.
It is worth living the experience, recommended, beautiful, well sausolito, tour in time and form, well the guide
The tour operator left me behind in Sausalito with no attempt to contact me. I arrived at the meetup spot at what I believed was the correct time, and was told by another tour bus operator waiting there that the bus had just left. As a solo traveler, this could have been disastrous. Luckily I was able to hitch a ride back, but was definitely surprised since I was not far from the bus the whole time, and did not see them leave. I called the tour bus company and was gaslit about the bus having left much earlier, which was not possible as I was checking on the bus and within eyesight when they claimed it had left. Overall the locations were great but my experience with the tour company left a terrible taste in my mouth.
Enjoyable trip. The guide was great. Informative and funny. Muir woods and the small hikes were excellent. The bus was clean. I would have liked less time in Sausalito. But all the trips seem to have a long stop there. It is a nice little town, nonetheless. Maybe I could have taken the ferry then left earlier.
Had a great time. The host, James was very charismatic and gave a very good perspective of the areas history. All while driving a bus down hairpin turns. The Muir Forest was absolutely stunning and Sausalito is a very charming and attractive town. Highly recommend this tour if you are staying in San Francisco
Patrick was awesome! Great humour and a great guide. A good tour if you don't have lots of time and want a taster.
Muir Woods is an awe inspiring place to visit. So much history. It’s my second trip here and I could go a thousand more times. Take the tour with a guide as they possess a wealth of information. Diane
The tour itself was good, our driver (James) provided great commentary. However, Skyline doesn’t really seem to exist anymore, it’s actually Big Bus. I don’t know why they haven’t dropped the redundant Skyline name.
