Dopo una salita panoramica sul treno a cremagliera, arriverete al Monastero di Santa Maria DE Montserrat, un santuario vivente fondato quasi mille anni fa e ancora sede di una comunità benedettina attiva. Mentre cammini attraverso la basilica e il monastero, scoprirai come generazioni di monaci hanno preservato non solo la fede e le tradizioni di questo sito sacro, ma anche la sua musica, arte e istruzione. La combinazione di devozione antica, paesaggi montani drammatici e tranquilla atmosfera spirituale rende Montserrat non solo un sito di significato religioso, ma anche un luogo di riflessione, stupore e connessione.
Dopo la visita al monastero, la giornata continua con una sosta in una cantina biologica a conduzione familiare. DE base alla disponibilità, la visita della cantina si svolgerà a DO Penedès presso Finca Ca n’Estella, o a DO Pla de Bages presso Oller del Mas, una tenuta situata ai piedi di Montserrat. It was a wonderful experience. Our tour guide Berts was very warm and earnest and shared her personal experience at Montserrat which made the trip come alive and all the more endearing. The vineyard too was memorable despite the heat. Perhaps an improvement could have been a visit to the wine cellar and view how wine is stored. Nevertheless Berta's explanations of the different wine tasting was a worthy experience. Strongly recommend!

We enjoyed our time in Monserrat and our guide was informative and also gave excellent recommendations on how to spend our free time. Lunch at the winery and subsequent wine tasting was disappointing. Lunch was chicken with mashed potatoes. Our tour guide also led us through the wine tasting which made me wonder who exactly owned the winery. Few guests seated at our table seemed to enjoy the wine. A visit to the cellar was an additional 75 Euros. Finally, I would recommend that the company builds in time for a quick restroom break after arriving, as our tour guide repeatedly indicated there was no time and guests needing a restroom would need to " catch up."
