Itinerario

The food was wonderful and Evelyn was a fantastic tour guide. She was knowledgeable and extremely passionate about Montreal.
A truly superior tour. I not only learned about Montreal food, why certain foods are popular. I learned about the ethnic neighborhoods now and their history. This was probably the most enlightening and entertaining of the 4 tours I took in Montreal. And most important, the food was delicious. Bagels, Greek food, smoked meat, poutine and ice cream. You will finish quite full and very satisfied.
Coming out on top across four Montreal tours is no small thing, and weaving the food itself together with the story of the ethnic neighborhoods and why certain dishes took root here clearly made for something genuinely special. 🥯
Great tour from start to finish! The guide hit every promised stop and shared a knowledgeable and personal narrative about the food, the history of migration to Montreal, and even sprinkled in some interesting facts about the local architecture. All in all, a fun and inspiring experience that we highly recommend. One tip: make sure to arrive hungry, because you will get a lot of food!
🏙️ Montreal has so much layered into it and it seems like this tour did it justice.
Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of Montréal and the many cultures. Would recommend this tour.
A guide who brings Montreal's rich mix of history and cultures to life so well is such a treasure and we are thrilled you would recommend the experience! 🌟
This was an excellent tour. Evelyn my tour guide was amazing. Great company. I learnt so much about the history of Montreal and Canada as well as the delicious food I was eating. All the food was awesome. The Mile End is a really interesting area to explore and feels like a microcosm to understanding the wider history of Montreal.
We'll make sure Evelyn knows what a fantastic impression she made! 🍁 So glad the Mile End food tour brought Montreal's history and culture to life for you!
Maria was great, really enjoyed a bit of hitory and food. My kids tried some things they would not have tried at home.
Not a good one. I will not recommend this to anyone. Most foods are not available and walking around with no sightseeing. Food aren not good. Standing at street eating is not a good experience. I would not recommend it. I should pick other tours instead of this one. My Montreal experience is completely ruined.
We’re truly sorry to hear that your experience in Montreal didn’t meet your expectations. It’s very disappointing to know the food options were limited and overall experience were not what you had hoped for. Our food tours are planned with the aim to give our guests a complete and authentic dive into the local food scene and generally encompass walking aroung the food districts and eateries of the cities, while getting local insights and guidance from your guide. A montreal food experience, if you will. We appreciate you letting us know, and we hope you’ll consider giving us another chance to show you the best of Montreal on a driving tour that connects you with the urban and iconic hearts of the city to reignite your love for the city!
The tour guide was a no show. I called Trip Advisor when I arrived 10 minutes early and found no one. I called Trip Advisor again 20 minutes later. They called the tour guide but no answer. I have asked for a refund Plus the expense of the bus fare. I am hopeful this will be made right.

The description of this tour is inaccurate - the foods tasted were not as advertised. The tour stared awkwardly as the location I was asked to confirm by the tour company was not the location we were meeting at - the TripAdvisor location was the correct one. Unfortunately I was the only person on this tour - while I appreciated them keeping it as often tours are canceled if not a minimum number the tour guide was not prepared for a private tour. She kept leaving me which was awkward an uncomfortable. She told me the tour was the fastest one she had ever done well that was because I didn't eat most of the food because I just wanted to get out of there! The food was good and plentiful but I didn't know why I was eating most of it - we started with a Montreal bagel which was great, then we stopped at a Greek restaurant, then a Polish deli and then for gnocchi (which was premade - the packages were in the trash right next to the line and the cheese was obviously from a can - yuck), a cannoli, poutine (Canadian - I know that one), smoked meat sandwich and then an ice cream cone. My guide didn't explain why any of this other than the bagel and poutine were included in a Montreal food tour. It felt like a random collection of foods in the area. Also the tour was on a Saturday and there were many Jewish community members walking through the area. My tour guide kept talking about seeing people dressed in traditional clothes and in my opinion it was too much and disrespectful. I asked her to stop because it was uncomfortable for me also she was not doing it to give me the history of the area or share information about the food or Montreal - it felt like she was just talking about a specific population of people. She even referred to non-Jewish people as "regular" which made me very uncomfortable while there were others in hearing distance. Overall it was a poor experience but I think with a different knowledgable guide it had potential and there was a lot of stops.
Thank you for sharing such a detailed review—we’re very sorry that your Montreal food tour didn’t live up to expectations. The experience you described is not the level of quality, professionalism, or cultural sensitivity we strive for. First, we apologize for the mix-up in meeting locations. That should never happen, and we’ll review our communication to ensure guests receive clear and accurate instructions before their tour. We also regret that the tour felt unprepared and uncomfortable as a solo experience. Private tours should feel personalized and engaging, not rushed or awkward. Regarding the food stops, we understand your disappointment with both the quality and lack of explanation behind the selections. A food tour should give context, history, and meaning—not just a list of restaurants. Most importantly, we are deeply concerned about the comments you mentioned from your guide. Respect for all communities is something we take seriously, and what you described was inappropriate and not representative of our values. We’ll be addressing this matter directly with our team to ensure it does not happen again. We do appreciate you noting that the tour has potential with the right guidance, and we’ll be taking your feedback to make sure future guests enjoy the authentic, respectful, and informative food experience that Montreal deserves.
Adele as our guide was gracious and eager to share her experience from a college student’s perspective. The trip was not, however, as advertised. We did stop at the bagel store, but then a Greek restaurant, then an Italian shop and finally a poutine restaurant. There were no parks, historical sites or points of interest. We walked through a neighborhood. The mile end was multicultural but not the highlight of Montreal.
