Arrivo a Perast, giro in barca verso l'isola di Nostra Signora delle Rocce
La leggenda vuole che l'isola sia stata costruita nel corso dei secoli da marinai locali che mantennero un antico giuramento dopo aver trovato l'icona della Madonna con il Bambino su uno scoglio in mare il 22 luglio 1452. Al ritorno da ogni viaggio riuscito, essi posò una roccia nella baia. Nel tempo, l'isolotto è emerso gradualmente dal mare. L'usanza di lanciare sassi in mare è viva anche ai giorni nostri. Ogni anno, al tramonto del 22 luglio, si svolge un evento chiamato "Fašinada", quando i residenti locali prendono le loro barche e lanciano sassi, allargando la superficie dell'isola. Oltre alla chiesa del XVII secolo, c'è anche un museo di doni donati principalmente da marinai e capitani che hanno vissuto tempeste, battaglie e molto tempo in mare aperto.
Visitiamo la piazza principale al centro di Perast con la chiesa di San Nicola e il suo imponente campanile alto 55 metri. Da lì proseguiamo la nostra passeggiata per circa 1 chilometro lungo il lungomare, ammirando la bellissima architettura del XVII e XVIII secolo, fino a quando non incontriamo il veicolo che ci aspetta per riportarci a Kotor.

Igor was simply the best. I asked for photos and landscapes and he delivered. He must have connections as he summoned a breeze cleared the traffic got an ugly boat to move and even found me the perfect take home piece of glass. Not so much a tour as a "please share the beauty of where i live" experience. You must visit Igor if you visit Kotor.
Igor, our guide from 360 Monte was outstanding. He was very warm and friendly and accommodating to our group's goals for the tour. He was very knowledgable in the history of the area. Kotor and Perast were absolutely beautiful areas. It was well worth the excursion! I would definitely request Igor if I was touring again!
We had an amazing day with Slavko! He was knowledgeable and all the area. He recommended the Bert restaurant and even took us back to the area to get back on the boat!

We loved Nadja! We took a private tour of eight to Kotor, Perast, and Our Lady of the Rocks. Nadja had a great smile, infectious laugh, and was a wealth of info. A very nice excursion. Our guide, Igor, was very good , full of information and quite helpful in helping to skip lines. Another huge advantage of a private tour. We went to Perast and to an elevated photo op location. The traffic on the main (only) road connecting to the port is awful, the only downside of the trip. But Igor kept us entertained. Highly recommend.
