Incredible experience in Utah canyon country. Highly recommend Get In the Wild if you're seeking a thrill of a lifetime. Our guide was very experienced, patient and great to be around.

Absolutely incredible experience! Robbers Roost did not disappoint, and our guide, Elsie, was phenomenal—she brought the perfect mix of excitement and expertise for us first-timers. I would rate this experience higher if I could. My daughter and I booked the tour with no experience and wanting to learn. Our guides Trent and Elsie are top notch and very gifted in teaching and guiding others. When we needed more instruction they were patient and gave us options that felt best for each of us. They cheered us on as we got better and better the whole day was amazing. If I could give any suggestions it would be that the site we booked from made the trip look like it was in Moab where we stayed. “Moab Robber’s Roost Canyoneering Adventure” If we hadn’t carefully read the instructions that came after booking we would have misted our reservation. It was a 1 hour and 40 minute drive away. And we have not visited before and didn’t know the distance. Helpful hints for a fun day… take more water than you think. You will be exerting yourself like no other. Packets of electrolytes are very helpful. When the guide talks to you about how much water to pack it’s important! Second do NOT wear shorts or a t shirt. Do not wear your favorite pants! Plan wisely and cover your knees and elbows and don’t be mad when you wear a hole in anything it’s part of the fun! You will get dirty. Very dirty! You will be starting at the top of rock formations and traveling down… the fun part! However you will walk back to the starting point and need to be prepared for the hike as well! It’s a good one! If you love adventure and a challenge book this now!

We take great care to provide a detailed list of recommendations to every guest prior to their trip—specifically emphasizing the importance of long sleeves and pants, and carrying ample water. As you discovered, the "Roost" is a rugged, beautiful, canyon country wilderness that demands respect, and your advice perfectly reinforces why we send those pre-trip recommendations. Regarding the location, we are glad you were able to catch the directions in your booking instructions. While many of our guests use Moab as a basecamp, the Robber’s Roost wilderness is a distinct and remote area known for its world-class canyoneering, outlaw history and solitude. Because it is a true wilderness experience away from the crowds, it does require a bit of a scenic drive to reach the trailhead. We try to balance the "Moab area" naming to help people find these hidden gems, and we're happy the experience led to such a rewarding day for you both. Our family of five had the absolute best experience doing the Robbers Roost canyoneering trip! Our guides, Trent and Tyler, were incredible from start to finish. They were so patient and supportive with our kids, making sure everyone felt safe and confident the entire time. At one point, Tyler even gave me the last of his water—just an example of how above-and-beyond they both were. Their positive attitudes made the whole adventure even more fun, and they showed us so many amazing spots along the way. This truly turned into one of the best trips of our lives. We had actually called two other Moab-based canyoneering companies before booking, and both told us our kids were too young. But Get In The Wild had no hesitation—and we’re so glad we went with them. Trent and Tyler were phenomenal with our kids and made the experience unforgettable. I could go on and on, but honestly—this is a must-do!

Our guide, Tyler was amazing! He was professional, courteous, knowledgeable and passionate about what he does! Our safety was his number one priority, but our entire day was absolutely amazing. If you book a trip, ask for Tyler.!!!
You will not find a better Canyon guide than Christopher! He is very thoughtful and considerate of each person in the group. He is concerned with safety 100% of the time while in the canyon. We had a great adventure with Christopher and recommend that you book your tour today!
Christopher took my sister, brother in law, and I to Angel Cove Canyon. He listened to our skill, and physical abilities. He prepares you for the mental aspect of canyoneering and how different people deal with fear. He is a skilled compassionate knowledgeable instructor and leader. He takes great care in safety but gives you room to work independently. He is also and long time family friend and we have waited years to have this special opportunity to get in the wild with Christopher and his wife Mellisa.
Christopher and Tyler were great guides. They took the time to answer lots of questions. They taught us new techniques and made everyone in the group very comfortable with what we were about to approach. I loved that they also offered up a little history of the area too. Already talking about coming back next year. 100% a good time !
Get in the wild was our favorite activity we did on our trip! It was a short one hour and 45 minute drive from Moab to Hanksville, where we met our guide Tyler. From the beginning to the end Tyler was thorough explaining the gear and ensuring all questions were answered. Safety was always his number 1 priority which helped those that were uneasy with heights. Tyler was a great guide. The entire adventure was a blast from start to end! For those that have little to no experience with repelling don’t be deterred. Especially when you complete the waiver as it can seem a little intimidating. We had members in our group with no experience and a little scared of heights and they did our guide did a professional job getting them through the day. We will be back!
