We did not have a great experience with this company and I would not use them again. The tour had been booked and paid for weeks ago, a guide had been arranged and on the day nobody turned up. The company didn’t answer the phone when we called or when our hotel phoned or when Viator tried to contact them. We waited for 2 hours in the reception area of our hotel before deciding that we were not going on the trip that day. We arranged with Viator to try and do the trip the following day (luckily we were still in Riga). We finally got confirmation and a quick “sorry for the delay” text that evening and the name and number of our driver. The following morning, a few minutes late, our guide came and collected us and showed us to our minivan. She had been brought in at the last minute as a favour to the company and admitted that she wasn’t a guide but used to be one. Linda, our guide, however, made the trip for us. She was warm and friendly and we really enjoyed her company. She chatted the whole way in the van and we had a lovely time on the trip itself. Our driver, Edgars, was also called in at the last minute. The vehicle was spotless and in great condition. When we got back to our hotel there was also confusion. Linda was expecting €200 cash, as payment, we had been told that the guide would be €100 extra to the trip. It was an awkward situation for both parties and not necessary. Linda took screenshots from my phone showing what had been paid and agreed. The organisation and communication from the company was shambolic. The trip itself was enjoyable and worthwhile but I would not recommend using this particular company.
