Delfi si trova nell'area del Monte Parnaso e da Atene, il tuo percorso passa attraverso un bellissimo mix di terreni agricoli rurali e elevazione crescente insieme a meravigliose viste sulle colline. Lungo la strada, scopri la profondità della storia di Delfi, la sua mitologia, gli elementi culturali della vita antica e tutte le cose principali che vedrai durante la tua visita.
Situato in una splendida campagna alle pendici del Monte Parnasso, visiteremo successivamente uno dei monasteri bizantini più importanti e ben conservati esistenti, e che è elencato dall'UNESCO. Esplora la sua architettura di 1100 anni insieme ai suoi affreschi unici e impressionanti
Sosta pranzo. Trascorri del tempo godendoti i negozi di artigianato locale e le meravigliose viste sulla valle del Plesto.
Incastonati su ampi terrazzi lungo il fianco della collina, siamo fortunati che le frane dei secoli precedenti ci abbiano preservato gran parte dei resti antichi, tra cui il tempio di Apollo del IV secolo a.C., la sorgente castigliana della mitologia, il teatro, gli edifici del tesoro, i templi di Atena e il ginnasio dove gli atleti si riunivano prima dei giochi pitici per fare il bagno nelle acque sacre. Durante la tua visita a Delfi, puoi ancora vedere le strutture fisiche associate a questa storia incredibilmente lunga.
Poco distante all'interno dell'area archeologica si trova il tempio di Apollo del IV secolo aC, epicentro della cerimonia mistica da cui l'Oracolo pronunciava le sue profezie.
Una bella aggiunta al sito è il moderno museo che espone reperti risalenti almeno al 1500 a.C., tra cui molte delle sculture e altri pezzi unici che adornavano i templi e le strade dell'antica città al suo apice intorno al IV secolo a.C. . I pezzi eccezionali includono la Naxos Sphynx, il gemello Kouroi e il famoso Auriga di bronzo, tra gli altri. Quando sei pronto, il tuo autista ti riporterà sano e salvo alla tua posizione ad Atene.

We had a wonderful day with Petros. He was informative and entertaining at the same time. We saw the main sites of Corinth but also a few off the beaten path gems. A must do tour if you are on a cruise stop in Athens and have seen the sights in town and are looking to see something new. We were originally scheduled to go to Delphi but discovered that it would take most of the day to drive there and back. If you are on a cruise stop, be careful what you book. Not all tours provide enough information in their booking description.

I think the most important thing we did was add the local English speaking guide to join us on site. She was very knowledgeable, local and understandable. It really made the day enjoyable and educational.

Terry was a fabulous and knowledgeable guide! He picked us up at our hotel, whisked us out of the city, regaling us with stories of Greek mythology and ancient history. We stopped at a 1500 year old monastery, ate lunch at a family owned restaurant and then spent the rest of our day touring the ruins of Delphi. My daughter and I enjoyed the drive out into the countryside and appreciated Terry’s candor and command of Greek history. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

It was a dream tour through the history - from Athens to Arachova near the famous mount Parnassos, then Delfi and its temples and finally Osios Loukas monastery. The top of the day was a lunch in Delfi with a breathtaking view to the mountains and excellent local food. Our driver Yiannis told us a lot of stories about history of Greece and about mythology. What a wonderful day!

From the moment our driver, Mario, picked us up at our hotel in the morning until he returned us safely in the evening, we were comfortable, informed and entertained. We learned as much from Mario as we did from the sites on the tour ... about Greek culture, history, education, economics, family traditions and more. My only regret is that we didn’t get a photo of Mario, who was expecting the birth of his first child this winter. We wish him well! A wonderful day. Highly recommend.
I cant spell or pronounce our Greek drivers’ name, but he said it is “Will or William” in English. He was wonderful!! We couldn’t have asked for a more professional or courteous expert....thankful for the experience we were able to share with our friends! Communication was easy, request were obliged and we never felt rushed. Lunch was incredible. This was more than a five star experience. Thanks for exceeding our expectations!
Our party of seven had two Fabulous days with Demetrius! He was very polite, courteous, professional, Very knowledgeable regarding history, Fun to be with, and extremely accommodating in every way! We had two beautiful lunches at some of his favorites and they were phenomenal! He is definitely an asset to the company, genuine and absolutely deserves a huge raise!
