La riserva statale di Gobustan situata a ovest dell'insediamento di Gobustan, circa 40 miglia a sud-ovest del centro di Baku, fu istituita nel 1966 quando la regione fu dichiarata punto di riferimento storico nazionale dell'Azerbaijan nel tentativo di preservare le antiche sculture, i vulcani di fango e le pietre nella regione.

The tour was fantastic! The guide was so knowledgeable and I learned a lot about Azerbaijan! As well, the driver was great and at no time did I feel he was driving unsafe. Moreover, the time at each site was perfect: not too rushed nor too long! I highly recommend this tour and I’m looking forward to my next tour tomorrow!
The tour Is well organized and Mahabat Is a very appassionate guide. The time Is Gobustan Is really worth It and It completely make sense seeing this attractions with and organized Tour. Would have been nice to have a Little more time in the mud volcanos area, but except for this it's a very valuable tour.
Nice experience to spend some time out of Baku when in Azerbaijan. Be prepared for a loaded day
