Situato a 8 km dalla città di Puno. Questa escursione ci permette di visitare una delle attrazioni più importanti della baia di Puno del lago Titicaca, una civiltà millenaria che vive nei canneti o "totorales", una comunità di lingua aymara che mantiene ancora oggi le proprie abilità come la pesca, la caccia agli uccelli e la raccolta delle uova. Gli uomini sono abili costruttori e guidatori di zattere di canne e le donne sono abili ricamatrici di tappeti. Questa civiltà preferisce tenersi isolata dalle civiltà continentali.

The tour to the island we went to was very nice, and the guide was very cool.
Our time on the islands was magnificent! The guide was very friendly and spoke good English. The people on the islands were very kind and welcomed us warmly.

Went on the afternoon slot which was perfect, not so cold with warm sunshine. Roly our guide was excellent, very informative, kind and helpful. More a living museum and definitely worth the experience for 3 hours and a relatively inexpensive trip while in Puno.

About Uros: to feel what it is to be on a floating island, to realize how they are built and to be able to see inside the houses where they live is an interesting experience; About Taquile: the landscape is cinematic and the lunch at the Salvador restaurant was delicious, we were also able to learn curiosities about the customs of the local inhabitants which was very enriching; however it is important to reinforce that the tour in general is quite touristic, with the typical stops for shopping and about 3h in total boat trips. Our guide was Fredy (who was really from the islands!!) and Captain Jonathan who were very available and clarified all the questions we asked. We like it!
