Molti secoli fa, su queste gigantesche rocce che raggiungevano altezze di quasi 2.000 piedi, si formò una delle comunità monastiche più importanti della Grecia. Dopo il prelievo al mattino dal tuo hotel a Kalabaka o Kastraki, goditi un tour completo di mezza giornata di Meteora per 4 ore, vedendo tutta l'area di Meteora, tutti i 6 santi monasteri con la possibilità di visitarne 3 all'interno. - Per entrare nei monasteri è richiesto un abbigliamento appropriato per tutti. Per le donne sono necessarie gonne al ginocchio o più lunghe. Niente pantaloni da donna, niente pantaloncini, niente camicia senza maniche. Per gli uomini sono vietati abiti senza maniche e pantaloncini sopra il ginocchio.

Super who visited many highlighs and 3 monasteries tomorrow. All very definitely worth it. Compliment to the guide and bus driver
Great informative tour of this amazing place! Our guide Nicholas was knowledgeable and very pleasant. We enjoyed the experience and highly recommend it!
It is advertised as a small tour but it was a very large bus. There was not a lot of information shared. I was disappointed.
It’s exactly what I signed up for. It was nice that we didn’t need to worry about driving and parking. The bus picked us up from the hotel and dropped us off at each monastery.
Our experience was average overall, but the Meteora Domes guide did not lead it. It was combined into a large group in a bus instead of the advertised small group in a van.
I hesitate to write this review because this is such a special place and it would be a shame if it gets overrun by the influencer crowd…..but it was the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen anywhere I’ve ever travelled. The tour itself was extremely well run, the guide Nicholas was so knowledgeable and seemed to have a genuine connection with this special place. Do this tour, but please respect this place and the people who are connecting to it.
Visited 3 of the Monasteries but saw and learned about all 6 on this well done 4 hr morning tour. We were given enough time to visit each one and Aphrodite gave good history of the area while we were in the van traveling between sights.
Bill was outstanding and delivered a great deal of information. His knowledge and passion surrounding the history of the monasteries was impressive! Made the tour an enjoyable experience for all three of us.
Excellent morning trip with knowledgable guide and experienced driver. Plenty of opportunities for photos on the many stops, plus enough time at 3 of the 6 monasteries to take a leisurely look around and more photos of the nearby monasteries in this stunning place. We had a car but joining this trip allowed us a stress-free first morning in the area and the chance to check out where we wanted to return to independently. Even in low season some of the monasteries were very busy and car parking could have proved tricky, so we were glad to be scooped up from our hotel and then dropped off/picked up close to the entrances. The 4 hours was used very well, lots was packed In but never felt rushed. Thank you.

The plus: no need to look for a place to park near each site which already seemed hard when it is far from my peak season, comfortable minibus and reasonable driving (no nausea despite the turns!) Audio-guide in French with some explanations but no more interesting than a paper guide in fact The least: guide was not francophone as advertised, no additional info really given Contrary to what they announce impossible we have seen several groups accompanied by guide or pope who explains in monasteries up to churches
