A very good trip, guide is great, group of people are nice. Uxmal and Kabah are beautiful, cenote is replaced temporarily and just so so.
You get to see a lot. The lunch is delicious. The guide/driver (David) knew his Mayan history well. He was also a very safe driver. You never felt like his previous job was as a taxi driver. However, the telephone number to reach the provider was disconnected. I could only contact them via What's App. But since I was out of WiFi range, I had no idea when I would get picked up. It was a bit disconcerting. They moved the pickup location, but only by 50 yards. However, despite a wide (30 minutes) window for pickup, they still arrived another 5 minute late. Lastly, the guide gave great pep talks at the entrance to each site, but did not do much walking around to point things out. As it is, I missed a lot of stuff, especially at Kabah.
I got a lot of knowledge from an experienced guide in an effective way. I would do it again. Small group of 7.
The guide was very knowledgeable and told a story, not just threw information at us. Uxmal and Kabah were great and impressive.
We booked this tour because it was advertised as an English-language tour, but most of the explanations (around 80%) were only in Spanish. The guide also provided very limited information at the cenote, Uxmal, and Kabah. We expected a much more informative guided tour. We contacted the company afterwards to express this, but they never even replied to our message. After reading other reviews, we noticed several people mention the same issue with the “English-speaking” tours. Be careful before booking this tour.
Amazing tour with David. The tour covered many spots and I loved every single minute of it
Three amazing sites to visit, incredibly preserved ruins at both Uxmal and Kabah. Wilberth the guide was knowledgeable and entertaining, and got a lot of information across despite doing the whole tour in two languages, and we enjoyed the interactive quiz on the way back. The included lunch was surprisingly good and swimming in the cenote was a perfect refreshing way to finish the day. Make sure to bring a towel, water shoes, and some extra cash as when we went the Uxmal admission price was a bit higher than advertised on the tour site. Would have liked a little bit more free time after the guided tour to explore Uxmal as it's a big site. On a side note just be careful buying the admission tickets for Uxmal as you need to pay for and present both the ticket and the receipt for the taxes to enter, but the lady at the second ticket counter didn't return our receipt after we paid and then we were almost denied entry (though this was no fault of the tour)
I have been coming to Cancun for 40 years. Each visit to its beautiful beaches always is great, but I always wish there was time to visit the Merida area, particularly the Mayan site of Uxmal. T
We had a very informative guide who answered all our questions and gave us many incites about Mayan culture.
Excellent tour today with our guide David. An incredibly knowledgeable guy, and I learned a huge amount about the Maya. So many mind-blowing facts, told by David with great energy. Daniel was a good and careful driver, and took care when we encountered traffic (a big lorry and a herd of cows!) and a big downpour of rain. Uxmal and Kabah were fantastic and atmospheric, and not at all crowded (unlike Teotihuacan near CDMX which I was underwhelmed by). Lunch was better than I expected, (3 courses included, drinks extra), I had the sopa de lima, the cochinita pibil and flan. Be aware that it’s a bit later than you may be used to so perhaps have a snack in your bag to keep you going along if needed, along with plenty of water. The final stop of the cenote was a welcome chance to cool down, and even though I don’t swim it was easy to sit on the edge and put my legs in. All in all, I would 100% recommend this tour.
