We experienced a mix of good and bad times during this trip. The tour guide was fine. He was always on time and showed us where to be, but made some inappropriate remarks and jokes, he also tried to give us some facts when we visited the temples but it was limited. The food was terrible and the same options offered morning, lunch and dinner for 2 days. Everywhere we went we were expected to buy something else and tip. We were happy to be able to see this part of the country but disappointed by the overall experience.
Son, our tour guide was amazing. 10/10 for him. As to the tour, it was just a selling opportunity. Every stop was sell, sell, sell. What the tour information didn’t tell you, that it was nearly a four hour trip back to Saigon. Far too long on the bus and 1 or 2 visiting places too many. I would not call this a floating market tour, because there were hardly any floating boats selling things. The photo of the floating market on your description does not represent what we saw, and is very misleading and should not be used to sell this tour.
Wonderful tour! I liked everything very much. Deliciously fed. Especially memorable water market. I recommend this cruise.
