GIORNO 1. HO CHI MINH CITY - DELTA DEL MEKONG (CAN THO) Partenza verso le 7:45 da Ho Chi Minh City e viaggio verso il pittoresco delta del Mekong, passando attraverso lussureggianti risaie e villaggi rurali lungo la strada. Fermatevi a visitare la bellissima Pagoda Vinh Trang. Prosegui per My Tho per una gita in barca lungo il fiume Mekong, dove potrai goderti il paesaggio tranquillo e fuggire dalla città trafficata. Crociera attraverso i canali di cocco di Ben Tre in sampan, quindi visita i piccoli laboratori locali per imparare come vengono fatte le caramelle al cocco e altre specialità regionali. Incontra famiglie locali amichevoli, assaggia frutta tropicale fresca, tè al miele e ascolta la musica popolare tradizionale del sud eseguita dagli abitanti del villaggio. Dopo un delizioso pranzo vietnamita, continua il tuo viaggio a Can Tho, il sentito dire del Delta del Mekong. Fai il check-in in hotel e goditi il tempo libero la sera per esplorare il vivace mercato notturno, il lungomare o i caffè locali.
GIORNO 2 : MERCATO GALLEGGIANTE CAI RANG - HO CHI MINH CITY Alle 6:00, sveglia per visitare il famoso mercato galleggiante di Cai Rang. Vivi il vivace commercio mattutino mentre le barche cariche di frutta e verdura si riuniscono per vendere le loro merci. Proseguire per una fabbrica di pasta di riso per osservare il processo tradizionale di produzione di pasta e visitare un colorato mercato locale nelle vicinanze. Rientro in hotel per colazione e check-out prima di dirigersi verso l'antica casa 10 Vo, una splendida casa sul fiume che mostra l'architettura e le tradizioni locali. Provate a fare pancake vietnamiti (bánh xèo) e godetevi un gustoso pranzo locale. Dopo pranzo, fai un giro in bicicletta opzionale attraverso la tranquilla campagna per esplorare la vita quotidiana della gente del posto. Nel pomeriggio, rientro a Ho Chi Minh City, con arrivo alle 16:45 circa.

Of all the tours in all the countries I've done, this was hands down the best. It had a lot of moving parts (multiple operators playing thier part), but everything was executed flawlessly. It was quite an active tour with bike rides and so many boat trips, but provisions were made for those with mobility issues. It helped that our guide, Beo, is passinate about the delta (being his home region), eager to share about Vietnam history, and committed to ensuring all guests have a great tour. BTW I don't know what the 5-star hotel option was like, but the 3-star hotel was the best accommodation of our stay in Vietnam. Overall, I was very impressed.
The tour was very good. Guide really good, explained history of things and very friendly. The 2nd day has a 4km bicycle ride. The bikes are very old, not well kept and on a 40 degrees day, middle of the day, was a bit much. If I do the tour again, I will sit this one out. The hotel was very high standard, the meals also very good. You see and experience plenty, as described.
The tour guide was very passionate and very careful to tell the history, the whole process was very comfortable and felt very well taken care of!

We greatly enjoyed our two day tour. Our tour guide was great! We would recommend this to anyone who wants to get a glimpse of real life in the delta.
Transport and accommodation to the destinations were good. The Cai Rang market is even according to the guide "dead" due to COVID, now there is only the odd boat selling produce and a lot of house boats. It's nothing like the pictures pre-covid which show numerous boats full of vegetables and fruit.

What an amazing trip to the Mekong Delta with Vietnam Adventure Tours. Tony the English speaking guide had a great sense of humour and had a fantastic knowledge of the area. Thoroughly enjoyed all our excursions and the Wink Hotel at Can To was perfect. Highly recommend.
