Situato a soli 15 chilometri di distanza dalla vivace città di Moshi materuni è un bellissimo villaggio sotto il tetto dell'Africa con un magnifico paesaggio pieno di frutta e verdura locale. Un viaggio in auto per questo villaggio durerà circa 1,5 ore e dopo l'arrivo la tua guida professionale ti accompagnerà alle fattorie di caffè dove avrai la possibilità di conoscere il modo tradizionale di fare il caffè. Dopo aver scambiato convenevoli con la gente del posto e aver preso la tua tazza di caffè inizierai un breve trekking alle cascate. la tua guida continuerà a darti informazioni sulla vita quotidiana del popolo chagga che risiede nella zona e sulla sua cultura peculiare. La cascata di Materuni schizza in piscina, dove si può decidere di nuotare o semplicemente guardare la vista ipnotizzante. Un gustoso pranzo al sacco sarà offerto prima o dopo la nuotata, che dipenderà dalla vostra scelta.

The waterfall is a bit of a walk (more like trekking) and the road could be very slippery when in rains — highly recommend wearing hiking shoes. The coffee making was very informative and enjoyable though.
I had a time during my weekend with my family visiting one of Kilimanjaro village (Materuni Village). We experienced a short walking to the waterfalls from village office, some of us was interested to swim therefore we spent some minutes at the waterfalls. Later we went back to our guide's home for coffee class then local food as our lunch. I can suggest to visit this area not in rain season because of mud. The tour was awesome. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and gave us a great tour to the waterfall full of facts on the locals and the plants in the surrounding areas. The waterfall was incredible and the coffee making process was well worth the trip. Chimbo point was a beautiful spot to sit and enjoy the coffee, food and songs. 10/10 would recommend to anyone. The tour company was extremely accommodating to our tight timeline for our flights later that day.

We had a wonderful day with Mercy hiking to the waterfall and to the coffee farm, where we learned how to make our own coffee from beans (processing, roasting and grinding) the traditional way. Mercy knows all about the history of coffee, the Chagga tribe, the land, and the waterfall and got us excited about her people and her land. She showed us lots of small wildlife that tourists wouldn't spot on their own like a small chameleon, a hidden nesting bird and a big slug. The views, the fruits, the delicious lunch and the friendly people amazed us on our first trip in Africa. Thanks for making us feel so welcome!

The coffee tour was really good! We also really liked bike trips, it was amazing! The sport activity after the safari was great. This tour helps see culture and life in villages. It was great to watch all the coffee making progress and be part of this. The organization was really good!

A relatively challenging hike with mesmerizing views of mount Kilimanjaro( went on a clear day) . Materuni is such a beautiful village with kind people. The people from solely tours made it even more amazing

The best company in moshi . The waterfall tour to materuni included lots of fun activities . Really loved our coffee session and the traditional songs and dances from the chagga tribe. the best company to travel with in Tanzania. Their professionalism and kindness got me hooked. They were all so informative and quick to respond. The materuni village itself is very beautiful with amazing things to see. The village has an incredible of Mount Kilimanjaro and the waterfalls were breathtaking. Great adventure in moshi with the best and most proffesional company. The village is located at the foothill of Mount kilimanjaro and on a clear day the views are the best. Visiting the place showed us lots of beauty of Tanzania from the coffee and banana plantations to the amazing waterfall
