Absolutely wonderful experience! I love coffee but did not know much about the production process. Giselle was so knowledgeable and friendly! I enjoyed getting to have a drink while listening to her description of the harvesting process, esp since the coffee tasting part is only small amount of freshly brewed coffee. Only 2hrs so it was perfect for me given that I didn’t have a ton of time in Kigali.
Thank you for your wonderful review! We're so glad you enjoyed the experience and learned something new about coffee. We hope to welcome you back next time you're in Kigali!
This was an experimental class with a very informative instructor, Patty. I learned a lot about coffee growing, roasting and tasting. It was fun to be able to try different coffees. The Question Coffee center and cafe are lovely places.
Thank you for the lovely review! We're delighted you enjoyed the experience and left with a deeper appreciation for coffee. We look forward to welcoming you back!

I learned a lot about the coffee. Our host was lovely! It was a fun day and the coffee is really delicious.
Thank you, we’re so glad you enjoyed the coffee and your time with us!
We did this coffee experience as a fill in before heading to the airport for an evening flight. Top tip - you cannot enter the Kigali Airport terminal untill your flight check in desk is open - so if you arrive early you get to wait in the car park outside...... Knowing this we had returned from safari and had a few hours to fill - we ate at Kigali Heights (plenty of restaurant choices) and before hand did the coffee experience. Patti was very knowledgable and as a coffee drinker with no real knowledge of coffee production, beans or how to taste, this was enlightning. You get a coffee from the cafe and a bag of coffee beans (the type you later say is your favourite of the 5 you test). As this is part of the price, the cost is a bit more reasonable, otherwise it would be on the expensive side for what the experinece is. You get to understand the process of production and see a couple of coffee trees in the garden. Then you learn how to smell, taste and grade coffee (a bit like wine tasting). There are 4 different beans plus a blended brew to try your hand at. Overall a good 'fill in' experience in a nice cool environment - if you are not a coffee drinker then nor really worth the expense as it is mainly about tasting coffee.
Thank you for sharing your thoughtful review. We’re delighted that you enjoyed your experience and found it both insightful and enjoyable during your layover!
We did the tasting and roasting seed to cup tour through TripAdvisor with Patti and had the most amazing time. She is warm and kind not to mention incredibly knowledgable about Rwanda, Question Coffee, and coffee in general. She is an excellent storyteller and so talented at her craft. If you’re booking, request Patti and you won’t regret it.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled you had an amazing experience. Hope to see you again soon!
Kevine was AWESOME!!! She was knowledgeable and very hands on, taking us from seed to drink. Also, BEST caramel macchiato ever!!
Thanks so much! We're glad you enjoyed it — and Kevine will be thrilled to hear that!
Excellent introduction to the art of coffee making and Question know how to produce a great coffee in an ethical way, supporting females in the industry. It was advertised as 2 hours but went for just over 1.5 hours. It was expensive at 70USD and confusing to book, having been told it was at 1pm but then I received a message to say it was at 12 o’clock.
Thanks for your feedback! We're glad you enjoyed the session and the focus on ethical coffee. Sorry for the confusion with the time and the booking. We’ll work on making that clearer.
First of all my guide and teacher, Patti, was amazing. It was only me for the class so I ended up getting a 1:1 session. I learned so much about the origin of coffee, the history of coffee in Kigali and the impact they are making for the women coffee farmers here. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to learn more and taste some great coffee!
Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re so glad you enjoyed your session and learned more about our partners' coffee journey. You’re always welcome back for another cup!
