A pochi minuti da tutto il trambusto di Sarasota si trova la nostra spiaggia locale preferita, Turtle Beach. È solo a poche miglia dalla spiaggia principale di Siesta Key a Turtle Beach e il carrello della contea di Sarasota ti lascerà proprio lì. Non solo questa zona è un posto così bello e tranquillo, è anche un ottimo posto per pagaiare! Iniziamo sull'intercostale e scendiamo giù per un breve canale fino alla baia. Paghiamo intorno alle isole di mangrovie attraverso un tunnel di mangrovie o due e accanto a una torre per uccelli. Paghiamo intorno alle isole di mangrovie della Jim Neville Marine Preserve e poi verso una spiaggia "segreta". Questa spiaggia è accessibile solo in barca quindi possiamo averla per noi. Mike was great! Friendly and super knowledgeable. The outfit itself was great and easy to work with. We had some weather while in town and they proactively reached out to move our activity out.
Our tour guide, JJ, was excellent! Unfortunately, that didn't make up for other problems. The tour operator, Surfit, sent only one employee to the boat launch to handle boat rentals not with our group, as well as to check in and get our whole group set up on the water. As a result, our "small" group of 17 set off 30 minutes late. We went through only one small mangrove, and the "secret" beach was loaded with other folks. We did enjoy all the info that JJ shared about the area.
Thank you for the kind words about JJ — he's one of our best, and I'm glad he made the morning informative. I'm sorry the rest of the experience didn't match. A 30-minute delay at launch isn't the start we want anyone to have, and I understand how it set the tone for the whole tour. We're reviewing how we staff and time our launches so groups get on the water promptly and the route feels like the small-group experience we're known for. I'd genuinely like to make this right — please reach out to the office.

Great kayak tour to an area that is only accessible by boat, SUP or kayak. Beautiful spot. Always find sharks teeth here. Very informative of the area. I've done this three times over the past 18 months. Each time the beach area changes.
