L'antico recinto fenicio conteneva un faro che dà il nome alla collina di Gibralfaro (Jbel-Faro, ovvero monte del faro). Fu Abd al-Rahman III a trasformare in fortezza le antiche rovine esistenti prima dell'arrivo dei romani. La fortezza fu ampliata e trasformata in fortezza dal re nasride Yusuf I nell'anno 1340. Il castello fu soggetto a un forte assedio da parte dei monarchi cattolici per tutta l'estate del 1487. Dopo l'assedio, Ferdinando il Cattolico lo prese come residenza, mentre Isabella I di Castiglia scelse di vivere in città.

No showing up, no good service. Quite a hassle to get the money back. Very unfortunate. Site no longer exists
Beware of using this company, Tuk Tuki. They never showed up. After waiting over half an hour we phoned them and they did not answer. Other Tuk Tuk drivers told us this was a common occurence
This was a terrible tour. The driver was 45 minutes late and in the time we were waiting they did not communicate with us until 30 minutes after our scheduled time. Then we past the same sights multiple times to fill the allotted time. We chose an English guide and his English was very minimal. Would not recommend.
Tour operator never showed up and ruined our day in Malaga. The booking was confirmed and fully paid. Tried to message tour operator with no response.
I am very disapointed! Nobody came to pikup us!!! I pay this tour and nobody came! This is a scam!!!
We had a great experience with WalkTuk! Our guide Aurelio was incredibly friendly and shared a lot of interesting information during the tour. At every viewpoint he stepped out with us to explain what we were looking at, which made the experience much more enjoyable. He also took some really nice photos for us and even dropped us off where the rest of our group was waiting. His driving was calm and comfortable, which made the ride very relaxing. Overall a fantastic experience and a very kind guide. Highly recommended!
We booked a tour with this company through Bookings.com & waited from 10:50 - 11:15 at the designated place & they did not show up at all. Still trying to get a refund. Look at Tuk&Flow instead - Ernesto was brilliant!
This was a brilliant hour spent in the company of our guide. I’m sorry but I forget his name as he was a stand-in for our original driver. He was delightful, so full of information and so obviously a fan of the area (he wasn’t local) - his stories were a lovely balance of history, culture, architecture and people. It was a lovely way to get a quick overview of Malaga. Highly recommended!
Antonio was awesome!! He is very personable, charismatic and knowledgeable. Fluent in a few languages including english.
Guide was nice and on time! Tour took me to different parts of the city, but there are stretches with not much to see! Definitely different and a relaxing couple of hours
