Magic Mike Live Las Vegas al SAHARA di Las Vegas

I’m a Las Vegas local and returning guest who used to rave about Magic Mike Live and recommend it to everyone. Unfortunately, this visit felt like a completely different show. The dancers were clearly talented and athletic, but most of the lineup appeared overwhelmingly young—several looked barely into adulthood. If you’re in your early 20s, this may be exactly the casting you want. But as a 40-year-old woman, I felt more maternal than attracted, and it gave me a major ick rather than making me feel sexy and entertained. The disconnect felt even stranger when the MC mentioned that she herself was 35. Pat, Vince and Mark still brought the confident, grown-man energy I remembered loving, and I was told Brandon was out that week. Maybe I caught an unusually young-skewing lineup, but guests have no way of knowing before spending the money. The show desperately needs more age diversity and mature, charismatic men alongside the younger dancers. We were also seated behind a member of the production staff who received repeated attention and distracted from both our view and interaction, despite our seats being sold as full-view. To the show’s credit, the box office manager took my concerns seriously and handled that issue professionally. I used to love this show and genuinely want to want to return. But based on the experience I paid for that night, I can no longer recommend it to women looking for the mature, grown-man fantasy the show used to deliver.

I left a bit disappointed. I had high hopes. The host was not funny and talked way too much in the beginning. I almost walked out. Needed less talking and more dancing. There was only one really great male act doing almost the full Monty. He made me stay. I thought there would be other acts like that but there wasn’t. Mostly the men danced around clothed. Not what I signed up for. The best part of the show was the female included acts. Very impressive. The guys did dance well and approached probably every woman in the club which made it more interactive and fun. The unicorn theme was weird. The bigger groups seemed to have the most enjoyment.

The performance is risqué but also there is segment that is beautifully erotic done by a couple. Many bachelorette groups were there having a good time.

This is a choreographed ‘show’. The dancers come around the audience and interact some but it is more of a performance.

If you think street and hip hop are dance and simulating sex acts are entertainment then you will enjoy the show. I found it derogatory to women. 13 men doing gymnastics all with no personality was not entertainment. A mistake two of our party walked out only the high cost kept us there.

I was so excited to go see this show and left completely disappointed and frustrated. We spent good money on front row tickets. They guys are amazing dancers, but while on stage they don't make eye contact. They are looking at each other, but not looking down at the screaming audience. I would rather pay for the attention a good looking man pays to me as it's part of the fantasy rather than how good they dance. As an audience member, you want to feel pretty, wanted, desired, etc. That's why we all go to these shows. If I pay for no attention, then what's the point. I understand not everyone will get pulled on stage or get a lap dance, but having eye contact helps the audience feel like part of the show. I was on a couch on a corner and every single time the guys got on stage they put their hand on my shoulder to help them leap up. What is that? I thought I had a good seat and several guys came to my couch, but every single one of them skipped me and interacted with the other girls. All the girls on my couch got a lap dance from the same dancer, one at a time, except me. I was the first one and he completely didn't look at me and skipped me. I could see if only one girl got a lap dance on my couch, but they all did, except me. To be honest, it was embarrassing. I was the one that dragged my friends to the show and the only one who didn't get any attention. There was a bride behind me and she got at least 5 different guys. There were a set of girls on bar stools and every time a guy walked by he gave all of them attention. I don't know, I went to have a great time and instead left feeling like crap. I think there are enough guys that all areas of the audience can be covered. Everyone wants attention and it's not fair that the same girls get attention over and over again while certain people are completely invisible. I think a better job can be done of making everyone feel welcome and wanted. Definitely more eye contact and focus on all areas. It's a 360 degree stage, everyone there can have an amazing time. Something so small can make a huge difference to this show!
