Itinerario

Small group tour out of Trieste, led by a wonderful and knowledgeable guide. Offered insight on the places we were going, history and things we should look for. Old town Ljubljana was beautiful as was Lake Bled. Highly recommend! Wear layers - slightly cooler in Slovenia, depending on time of year.
We loved beautiful Lake Bled and will return. Received a lot of information from Guide en route, and grateful she allowed flexibility to tour on our own. We would have chosen to only visit Lake Bled and not Ljubljana if given the opportunity. We departed meeting point at 8am but did not return to Trieste until 6:15pm. Took us 3 1/4 hours to return from Ljubljana to Trieste due to construction traffic and juggling of driving apps by Guide. While she was very nice, we believe this excursion would benefit from having both a guide and a separate dedicated driver.
It's a great tour if you just want to check these places off your list. The scenery was beautiful and our tour guide was very nice and passionate about her country. However, she was a nervous driver and often seemed to have trouble navigating traffic and road conditions while talking, which honestly led to us feeling uneasy at certain points. The other thing that was a bit frustrating was that the tour ticket and description said 8 am- 7 pm and listed 2 hours in both Lake Bled and Ljubljana. Then on the tour we were told 90 minutes in Lake Bled and 2.5 hours in Ljubljana. At Bled, our guide said we wouldn't have time to hire a boat to the island, but I think we would have with the full 2 hours: otherwise, why would the description list the price for the boat ride? (Also, the boatmen were telling people it was a 20 minute ride each way with a 45-minute stop on the island). Then in Ljubljana, we were told that we would have 2.5 hours... I guess we did but 30 minutes was devoted to the walking tour, which didn't leave much time for both lunch and sightseeing. Fortunately, the city center is not huge and although quite charming, if you are a seasoned traveler, you probably won't feel the need to go to the castle or pop in every church. If you do, or if you have a deep interest in the area, consider another option. At the end of the day, we saw some pretty things and had a nice pastry. However, we had too little time in either place to really do much and we were back much earlier than the stated end time.
Told it was private. It wasn’t. 39 people on the most uncomfortable bus. Other group also told it would be private by Koper Tours. They would not answer any questions when we met up with Koper Tours shuffled us and told us they know nothing only taking to travel.. The guide barely spoke English and talked nonsense. No direction given drive and dump! Absolutely do not book this tour with Koper Tours through Viator
Disappointed that we got only one rushed hour at Lake Bled. We were in the back seat of the van and couldn’t hear the commentary, despite asking it be turned up. Our guide was a lovely person though she seemed uncomfortable driving in cities and her commentary had very limited history. Travelers should be aware that you will spend most of the day in the car if traffic is at all bad. We left at 8 and returned around 4:30/5:00PM. All that for about 3 total hours outside the van.
There is about 5 hours of van travel time in a van that was not exceptionally comfortable for that amount of time travelled in. The air conditioning was not great for an 88 degree day. We had about 3 hours of time to tour Lake Bled and Ljubljana. Our guide spoke very fast English and had enough of an accent that it was difficult to understand. Would have liked more time to enjoy Lake Bled and to have know more about Slovenia’s history.
Our guide Janie(so?) was very pleasant and very informed. The ride was very comfortable and he was very knowledgeable about history.
Wonderful setting. The best was the guide Janez, who responded to all the wishes of the small group. Even within the group, he has enabled participants to have different experiences. And he sacrificed his free time to show us more of the city. That's as good as it gets.
This was a very informative tour with explanations places that were very historical and pretty .. Dean was over the top with his support within his country and explanations ,
Ester was very knowledgeable and spoke fluent English. Gave us good information and tips. The weather was chilly but we tried to make the most of it. Wish we had more time maybe hour or two but overall very happy. Safe driver and answered all questions.
