It's a sunset river cruise - around 20-30 people on the boat, almost everyone is local, and the boat goes to the bridge and back, letting you take photos along the way. They play music loudly like a party boat, but if you go to the front of the boat, the music is fine. They sell drinks and snacks aboard. The boat was very stable. There's no office or anything, but you can get on the boat and wait from 4pm, and the boat started at 5.30pm instead of 5pm. Ended shortly after 7pm.
The walk was nice but the guide was missing. Time's up. Toilet the boat. Good security. Constant communication with the agency
Delicious walk That's with very loud music. The staff is very friendly. I suggest that they leave the bow without an additional baffle so that those who cannot tolerate such loud music can be there.
Estamos trabajando para mejorar el tema del sonido, aunque tenemos un espacio en la proa del Barco que no hay musica y es mas un espacio de contemplación del paisaje
In the ticket you write it starts at 4pm. So we were the 03:50. After waiting 1,5 hours, we left the Dock at 5:20pm. Onboard was a DJ who played music so loud, that our ears was bleeding, for the entire Cruise. Absolutely horrible.
I really enjoyed the tour, mainly due to the people attending it. It seems that most people taking this tour are locals and there was a big group of them celebrating their grandfather’s 70th birthday on the boat. They invited me to join their party, dance with them and shared their food with me - I even got a piece of the birthday cake! So this was more of a party boat ride than a sightseeing one - we did the whole trip as described in the app, but almost no explanations were given. For me it was the people who made this trip memorable, not the tour itself - but it’s good if you have a couple of hours to kill in Barranquilla nevertheless. Apparently the area around the dock is not very safe after dark, so it’s best to call an Uber.
Bad reception from the person in charge. Even though he had paid in advance, he showed interest only in a group that had a celebration
Music too loud, no English-speaking staff, very uninterested in the customer. No explanations whatsoever about our route or what we see. Very difficult to find.
The tour actually starts one hour after the announced time. Lack of information prior to the activity. It is recommended as it is an entertaining activity and a different experience. It is suggested to have a waiting room, taking into account that it is scheduled well in advance.
We booked the tour through Trip Advisor, but it does not seem that it communicates with the actual staff of the tour. Had it not been because I looked for their WhatsApp to ask some further questions, I would not have known how to arrive, that I have to go through a blue door and ask for the boat. I also had to show proof of purchase through Trip Advisor. We were told to be there by 4pm, but there was no information that this was just the time of embarkment and that departure time was actually 5pm. We were on the boat for an entire hour wondering what time we were going to leave. When this was communicated, the boat still left about 15mins late because people were still arriving. I guess this information WAS communicated to other guests? Or do other guests get to book other hours closer to 5pm? I had also asked previously if the tour offered a bilingual tour guide, they advised for English-Spanish, we would have to book a private tour and it would be much more expensive 150 (unclear if this was COP or dollars, but regardless, it was too much for us). The actual tour, however, does not offer much information. They only pointed to what we were passing by, there could not have been more that 4 sentences total from what we learned that day, and the places were places we already knew. That much money for just being signaled the places we were passing by is definitely not worth the translation, especially when it would be the same names in English. The rest of the time, there was just music playing. After an 1hr, the boat passed the bridge and did a U-turn. Overall, I think we were expecting more of an actual tour rather than a party boat, learning about the history of the Magdalena River, information about the city aside from being pointed at places, etc. If a 2-hr party boat is what you're looking for, this is for you. If you're looking to learn about Barranquilla or the Magdalena River, I would find other tours more worth the money.
A very nice plan… You know the Malecon de Bquilla in a different way. The people who serve are very friendly and provide a beautiful atmosphere to the journey…. They play typical music and at the end a Music group livened up the last half hour. The only thing to improve is that they have an appointment at 4 pm but the tour leaves at 5 pm. I suggest greater precision in timing…. But overall Very nice he Tour…. I recommend it
