The tour was amazing and I warmly recommend it. Ishmael does an incredible job as a tour guide - he's very knowledgeable, organized and super friendly. You can easily tell that he has a lot of experience in the palace. The Royal Family stories he told us really held my attention and they will stick with me for a long time 😁
This was a perfect tour! Rocio was excellent--knowledgeable, funny, excellent english. She brought the palace figures to life. I highly recommend the tour but especially Rocio.
Our guide (Jose) was personable, funny, knowledgeable, and all-around good at his job. We learned a lot about the palace and it's history, and he gave us information we would not have gotten if we had just explored on our own. Definitely recommend!
The museum is so huge that it is not possible for the tour guide to show you everything. Because of this, it felt like we were rushing from room to room to learn about the most important pieces. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.

So no doubt you need to see the palace - its 100% worth the time. For me I did not find the guided tour of much value. It was very rushed and very quick. Provided some detail but its really geared to the average tourist who just want to say the were there and grab a few photos. Also the torus are stacked so basically overlapping and stepping on each other - so even more rushed to get out of the way. Had I known what to expect I think I would have just gone through on my own. Even better if they had an audio guide that would be better as well. After the tour we walked through again on my own. That was much more enjoyable. In the end there are just too many tourists who just want to see it and are not all that interested in the history and details.

Excellent tour! Our guide was very knowledgeable and informative about the palace. She shared with us that she normally does private tours and so a bigger group (26) was more than she normally handles. She did excellent! She kept us moving at a good pace and gave us a lot of good information.
The tour is worrh it. You skip long lines in the summer. Tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. She made it very easy for everyone to understand the history of the kings and queens and the palace.
