Wow … wow!!! We had seen pictures and read up a bit, but nothing compares to a knowledgeable guide to highlight and teach you about the history and place. Excellent communication and knowledge of the process is ensuing that we had our bus tickets, got in the queue at the right time and guiding us around made all of the logistics so simple that we could enjoy everything. At the end of our trip, the Cusco airport experienced unusual circumstances and the airlines cancelled our flight and rescheduled us for over 36 hours which was going to cause us to miss much of the next part of or tip in Peru. We tried to remedy this ourselves but could not. I contacted Hugo hoping for guidance or suggestions. He went so beyond that. He contacted resources to secure flights the same day for us (we tried persistently ourselves and could not). In addition he arranged for a driver to come back to the airport and take us to Cusco city center so we could enjoy our day. He provided wonderful suggestions of places to see and restaurants. All of this was done without asking anything of us. He ensured we had a wonderful day despite a cancelled flight. I can’t say enough about the level of commitment and dedication of Cusco Local Friend and Hugo . Without their caring support and resources we would not have been able to get to our next destination. If I could give more than 5 ⭐️s I would.
The tour guide John was very helpful, professional, knowledgeable and a great photographer.
The tour was a great experience. The tour guide was very professional, knowledgeable and great photographer. He took the best pictures. The tour was awesome because it included the ticket to Machu Pichu ruins and the ticket to the bus.
After our private tour through the Sacred Valley, we had booked a private tour through Machu Picchu for the next day. We took care of the travel and tickets ourselves in advance and Local Friend was able to respond to that in a super flexible way. Our guide John picked us up at the hotel early in the morning and took the bus to Machu Picchu with us. We were lucky with the weather and the experience was truly unique! John took a lot of time and brought the history and details of this magical place closer to us. He also had many nice photo ideas and managed our visit so that we could always skillfully avoid the large crowds of people. I would definitely recommend a private guide for Machu Picchu and especially Cusco Local Friend! Thank you very much for this wonderful experience!
It was really super well arranged. The contact in advance was top, so we were kept informed of everything. Our guide John who was right on time to pick us up. The tour was really fantastic. He told clearly and enthusiastically! What a top morning
We had a fabulous 5 days with Sam and Willie taking in multiple trips and local experiences including Machu Picchu, Sacred Valley and Rainbow Mountain. They were an incredible team that took care of everything and facilitated all of our requests. Sam’s knowledge of history and the Cuzco local area were exceptional and made every tour special. Willie’s driving was amazing on some very narrow roads. We would give them six stars if we could!
Great experience with our guide, John, who was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and enthusiastic as he showed us around his spectacular “office”! Well organized, efficient pickup, and obviously an amazing sight at what has been a bucket list item for decades. Highly recommend!
Our tour guide from Local Cusco Friend Tours name was John. He is a local Quechua Peruvian guy who has a funny story of why his name is john. Lol you will have to ask him ! He spoke great English and he was a fantastic guide. very knowledgeable and interesting. He has been to Machu Picchu 10,000 times and he is an expert. Most importantly he knows all the perfect photo spots and we did all sorts of fun poses that he suggested. Thank you John we had a GREAT time and thanks for the perfect sunny weather you brought with you ! We Loved this tour !!
We booked a private tour with Cusco Local Friend and were lucky enough to have John as our guide. From beginning to end of the tour John was friendly, entertaining and very knowledgeable. He was very mindful of safety at all times and knew all the best photo stops in Macchu Picchu. We had a great and memorable time with him. Hie English was also excellent.
Our tour guide John met us early in the morning at our hotel and led us through the maze of people to the bus line. He was so gracious on route one taking our pictures as a group and individually. Lots of fun ideas. He shared a prayer with us and provided us with a lot of interesting facts and dad jokes for days. It was very special and spiritual being at Machu Picchu and he made it even better. Im so thankful we had him to lead us through and explain everything to us on route 3. It was so special. Thank you John for an absolutely amazing day!!! ❤️
