I had a fantastic time exploring the historic sites of Macau with Manuel as my tour guide. I'm really not into casinos, but what I'm interested in is Macau's culture and history. Manuel, a local, me to some areas that I didn't know about and helped me learn more about Macau - (the Mandarin's House, where to get the best ever egg tart and iced coffee.) Manuel is also the perfect photographer - he knows where and when you should pose for that perfect IG shot!
Rebecca is a fantastic guide as she is local, expert, personable and, of course, knows Macau well. As such the tour was both efficient and leisurely, allowing us time to individualize the tour to our specific interests. We had never seen pandas so clearly and up close. It was helpful to learn more about the history and context of Macau’s development through the decades via Rebecca’s walking tours of various neighborhoods and the Macau Museum. Thanks again to Rebecca.
My wife and I had a spare day in our Hong Kong visit and decided to fill it with a day visit to Macau. Manuel was our guide and was accompanied by his wife as the driver. Macau is well known for its casinos but Manuel show us a whole different side and perspective. We learnt some fascinating history and ventured to some well known and less well known areas of Macau. We have been to Portugal and eaten egg tarts, but I have to say that the egg tarts we had at the shop he took us to were next level and easily the best egg tarts we have had. Manuel is very proud of his local heritage and his passion shows in his tour. We visited both the old town and new town, the zoo, Guia Hill, Santo Antonio, some cathedrals and several other spots. We only had one day and Manuel helped us make the most of our quick visit. Manuel, thank you for a great day and for showing us a different side to Macau.
The tour was very well organized. We wore met by a tour guide Cheryl end driver at the fairy terminal on macau side. Cheryl took us to all the sightseeing, explaining the past and the present of macau. We also visited the casino strip and went into several beautiful hotels. Cheryl also took us to the park to see pandas. Overall , it was a very pleasant and interesting experience. We're very grateful to cheryl and the driver Sam.
We had a great tour experience with Manuel. He was passionate to share how special his hometown of Macau is. We learned about the history of Macau and also got a taste of the new casinos. Highly recommend!
Macau was the fourth city on my journey through China. I booked another private tour of this dream city in advance through TripAdvisor. Macau is a city of temptations and casinos, fascinating places, and stunning nature. I had watched the movie “Start Again” (“灿烂的风和海”), which inspired and deeply impressed me. The phrase at the end — “The end is always the beginning of something new” — stayed with me. The story touched me deeply, every story in the film was intriguing and made me reflect. I had dreamed of visiting Macau for so long, and thanks to this movie, my dream finally came true! I visited all the places I had seen in the film, including the famous lighthouse, which thrilled me… Unforgettable experiences, magical emotions, shivers and goosebumps — that’s exactly what I felt while exploring Macau. I highly recommend visiting, and a huge thank you to my guide Rebecca for the incredible emotions, unforgettable impressions, and the perfect organization of my private tour!
Rebecca and Jivy were great Very Humble simple people Very informative We are grateful to them 10 out of 10 God bless you both
I had asked in advance for an "insider" tour away from the tourist attractions, but Rebecca probably did not want or could not afford this. So we ran the widest tourist trails, well. Rebecca was more interested in her mobile phone than us or our questions, mostly we had to ask twice until we came through at her place. Her English was good, though sometimes difficult to understand. We then aborted the tour prematurely and were able to reach an earlier ferry to Hong Kong.
We had a great tour with Wynn and driver Ms. Ho in Macao. Wynn is a very knowledgeable Macao insider who speaks fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Both he and Ms. Ho were very attentive and patient, including with my 81-year old mother who walks reasonably well but with a cane, and adjusted the program to give us a great tour of Macao without a lot of demanding walking on cobblestones. We would highly recommend touring with them.
We had a great experience with our guide Eddy. He helped us tailor the itinerary to meet the needs of our family, including our two kids who are 9 and 6.
