La Piramide di Hetepheres, conosciuta anche come satellite o piramide sussidiaria della Grande Piramide di Giza, è una piccola struttura situata vicino alla Piramide di Khufu. La regina Hetepheres I, la madre di Khufu, era una figura influente durante la IV dinastia egiziana. Anche se la piramide stessa è di modeste dimensioni, ha una grande importanza storica. La piramide era probabilmente una struttura simbolica piuttosto che un vero e proprio sito di sepoltura. Hetepheres fu sepolto altrove in una tomba a pozzo vicino alla Grande Piramide, conosciuta come G 7000X. Mahmoud Abozaid was our guide and he was wonderful!!! very knowledgeable, he was very funny and friendly, made the experience even better, definitely worth the money! he also helped us with pics and was very patient! the museum and pyramids were impressive, as expected! a must when in Cairo!

We had a fabulous time with our guide Sayem. The trip to the pyramids was fascinating and we learnt a lot. Due to a closure of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) we had to wait 3 hours but all was good as Sayem took us to a restaurant to eat and pass the time. A little annoying but nothing that good be done and not a fault of the guide or tour company. We enjoyed the tour of the GEM and again Sayem was knowledgeable about everything we saw including the amazing collection of Tutankhamen. A great tour indeed and recommended.
