Luxor Day Trip da Marsa alam (privato)

We spent a wonderful day visiting the Valley of the Kings and the magnificent temples of Luxor as a family. The organization via Luxor Tour Egypt was impeccable, but what made this moment even more memorable was the quality of the support from our driver Ahmed Agmy. Attentive, warm, and incredibly kind, he took great care of both the young and the old from morning to night. If you are looking for a trusted agency to travel with peace of mind as a family, don't hesitate for a second!

The pickup was very early because the trip to Luxor took about 4 hours (day trip). The ride with Omar was very pleasant, however, and passed quickly with a little nap. In Luxor, Angie was waiting for us at the first location. After she guided us through it, we were able to explore everything on our own afterward. This was also the case at the other locations. This provided many interesting insights through Angie, but at the same time, also private moments. After all locations were visited, there was also lunch at an Egyptian restaurant. A really great excursion because you are traveling privately and simply faster than with a tour bus or a large group. :)

I did the day trip to Luxor with a friend and can recommend it to everyone. The ride in the private car with Ahmed is much more pleasant than sitting in a bus, and two breaks are also included along the way. The pickup time was at 4 AM, and our driver was already there much earlier. On site, Angie guided us through all of Luxor, and our personal highlight was an additional boat ride on the Nile. So you really get to see everything; the driver Ahmed always waited for us in the car.

We took this excursion from Marsa Alam and everything was perfect: our driver Ahmed Agami of infinite kindness drove carefully and led us to safe harbour and accompanied us throughout the day. The vehicles are new and spacious , clean and perfectly maintained . Our French speaking guide was Mohamed Luxour, very friendly person and having a perfect knowledge of Egyptian history he shared his passion for ancient Egypt. We had the good fortune of having Ahmed (driver) & Mena (guide) for private Luxor Tour. To start things off, we were staying in Marsa Alam which is some distance from Luxor and Ahmed arrived promptly, directly from Luxor, with a smile on his face at our hotel reception at the wholesome hour of 3am for our outward journey to Luxor. Ahmed was incredibly courteous and clearly very well experienced at navigating Egypts roads, which to those that have experienced Egyptian roads before, will know, that they can be very dangerous by western standards, with an experienced captain at the helm, like Ahmed we felt safe and very confident we would arrive in safety. On the 5 hour journey we had plenty of stops to break up the journey and even a few bespoke extra stops on request for an elderly guest in our group. We picked up Mena on our way to the valley of the kings and immediately we were greeted with a fantastic introduction to Egypts rich and ancient history. As someone with a fascination of ancient Egypt from a very young age I came to the tour thinking I knew all of the important parts, I couldn’t have been more wrong! Mena introduced me to facts and information that YouTube videos and countless classroom lessons couldn’t hope to rival, which is local knowledge. There are so many aspects I’d like to cover but tripadvisor limits the characters. All I will say is if you are looking for a private tour, with an excellent itinerary, you have a genuine thirst for knowledge and learning all the while being transported by an experienced driver then you can’t go wrong with Mena & Ahmed. Make sure you bring plenty of Euros or USD’s to give these gentlemen a well deserved tip! By the end of the tour you will feel like the price you paid could have been double and you still would have thought is incredible value.

Great fully day experience with my family. Safe driving and good service by our driver Ahmed. We were thoroughly impressed with our guide and Egyptologist Sayed Gamal who explained everything in detail and also made sure our kids understood the meaning of the various sites.

We have an amazing experience. Our driver Omar arrived promptly at our airport to pick us up and dropped us off after the tour ended. He drove diligently and was very experienced. Our tour guide, Angie, had vast knowledge of Egyptian history as well as regional history and culture. She thoroughly explained the importance and history of each location we visited in great detail. She was very nice and designed adapted the tour itinerary to our needs. We would definitely recommend this tour and the tour guide to other people. Thank you for a lovely experience.

Great overall experience. Prompt communication in advance to confirm details and timings. Our driver, Ahmed, was perfectly on time, the vehicle was clean and modern and although the drive was long, the roads were quiet. We met our guide, Sayed Gamal, in Luxor and went to Karnak first. Sayed already had tickets for us for each of the places we visited and entry was very smooth. Sayed was very knowledgeable and passionate about the history which really brought the places to life. We opted for the optional river boat crossing to the West Bank as we’d already spent a fair amount of time driving. Lunch was pleasant at a restaurant by the Nile and wherever we went Ahmed was always there waiting to take us to the next location so never any waiting around. Had a really good day visiting the temples and tombs, really fascinating and inspiring. We were safely returned to our hotel by Ahmed and although a long day, it was really worth it. Thoroughly recommend. Suggest maybe ask your hotel for a packed breakfast for the journey as it is an early start.

Although it was a 4am start, it was worth it! Communication was great, they kept us informed about what was happening and answered any queries. Our driver, Ahmed, was on time, friendly and a safe driver for the day and looked after us very well - and was super easy to chat with. Our guide, Sayed Gamal, was on time, friendly, easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. He brought the history to life as we visited the various sites and was obviously very knowledgeable. He ensured we visited all the places we hoped to. We also went on a boat across the Nile, which was a lovely cool break on a warm day. Ahmed made sure we always had water available when we visited the various sites and when we left the air-conditioned minibus. Lunch was included, and there was plenty to eat, additional soft drinks were at the going rate too. We were delivered safely back to the hotel before dinner finished. A great trip, highly recommend if you don't have time to spend more than a day in Luxor, and would highly recommend Ahmed and Sayed who made it super easy and a total pleasure. It's encouraged us to return to do Aswan and Cairo too,as there is so much to see.
