We had an amazing trip up the Nile. While we had a few problems with the noise on the boat while a large number of big boats were all docked together, Egypt Unlimited went out of their way to help rectify the situation. The dedicated guide they assigned to us - Ahmed Salama - was also very diligent and friendly. He was a trained Egyptologist but also a fun and entertaining story teller. He had a very engaging style and linked together various things that we saw along the way in different ports.
Would definitely recommend this cruise! My friend and I are both females in our late 20s, and really enjoyed this cruise. The staff were great, food was good, with a nice mix of Egyptian and Western dishes. We chose the cruise because it seemed like an easy way to get around and see the main sights, and it definitely delivered. One of the highlights was arriving at some of the temples at sunrise or sunset, which made them look even more spectacular. The pool on the boat was great and the beers were cheap too! We had a private tour guide named Mahmoud Hamdy, and he was fantastic. He coordinated all of our tours and transport, and everything ran smoothly. There was always a driver ready to pick us up which made the whole trip stress-free. My friend and I had a basic knowledge of the temples and ancient Egyptian history, but Mahmoud did at great job at explaining the history. One thing we really enjoyed was how he would make us part of the information, explaining events as if we were the kings and queens involved. It made the history much easier to follow and far more engaging. After giving us an overview of each site, he would let us explore on our own, which was the perfect balance between learning and having time to take everything in ourselves. There were also optional extra temples and activities available. Mahmoud was always upfront about what they involved and how much they cost, but there was never any pressure to book them. If we weren’t interested, he simply moved on without any upselling. We also enjoyed chatting with him about everyday life in Egypt, and he was always happy to answer our questions. He was an excellent guide, and I would happily recommend both Mahmoud and this cruise to friends visiting Egypt.
The crew’s service was excellent, and our guide Azzaz was outstanding — knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely great to work with. My one real criticism isn’t about the staff at all, but about how the company runs the “all-inclusive” model. At roughly $1,000 per person, the package is already expensive, yet the drivers and on-board staff appear to be paid very little — a large part of their income clearly depends on guest tips, which felt close to mandatory rather than voluntary. Over four days we paid more than 7,000 EGP in tips. Having this extra, semi-obligatory cost layered on top of a premium “all-inclusive” price makes the experience feel less transparent and lowers the overall value for money. If staff wages were built into the fare, the package would feel far more honest. My other note is scheduling: three consecutive days starting with 3 AM wake-ups, and a 6 AM start on the final day, was exhausting. A more humane itinerary would meaningfully improve the trip. To be clear — the people serving us were great. My concerns are with the pricing structure and the schedule, not the crew or guide.
What a great plan, from the pickup at the hotel to the final destination in Luxor, everything was wonderful; the kindness of the staff is unmatched, everyone was very attentive and helpful. And what a striking story Egypt holds. Every site is stunning; I can only imagine how it must have been in the time when everything was at its peak.
From start to finish this company delivered. Mahmoud, Noor and team were absolutely incredible.
Exceptional tour guide. V knoweledgeable. Saw all the main sites Abu Simbel, Luxor, valley of Kings etc. 10/10 to Nour. Boat very nice, modern and chic. You don’t lift a finger. Comfortable cruise.
It was a well coordinated tour with great food and a very knowledgeable guide who brought to life the history and tales of the past.
Mo from Egypt Unlimited put together an incredible 13-day group trip and provided top-notch service and accommodations throughout our entire journey. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, making the experience smooth, comfortable, and truly unforgettable. Our Egyptologist, Hares, was extremely knowledgeable and made the history of Egypt come alive for us. We thoroughly enjoyed being guided by him and learning so much along the way. The entire trip was spectacular from beginning to end, and I highly recommend Egypt Unlimited to anyone dreaming of experiencing Egypt for themselves!
Our guide, AZAAZ, made sure to explain it in a polite and easy-to-understand manner to those of us who are not good at English. In addition, we were able to arrange and efficiently sightseeing. However, while this tour was supposed to allow us to spend time in Luxor on the 3rd and 4th days, it is a shame that we actually spent almost all of our time waiting at the Esna sluice gate on the 3rd day and ended up doing all the sightseeing in Luxor on the 4th day.
Our trip to Egypt with Egypt Unlimited Tours was an unforgettable experience. Everything was well organized from beginning to end, which made the trip smooth and enjoyable. We visited Luxor, Aswan, Esna, and also went on a Nile River cruise, all of which were thoughtfully planned and well coordinated. The itinerary allowed us to see so much while still having time to enjoy each destination without feeling rushed. Our tour guide, Ahmed Mahmoud, was knowledgeable, professional, and very attentive. He explained the history and culture clearly and made the experience even more enjoyable. His organization and care truly enhanced the trip. Overall, Egypt Unlimited Tours provided a memorable and well-planned experience. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to explore Egypt comfortably with a reliable tour company.
