Lucca: Tour a piedi alla scoperta della città delle 100 chiese

Un giro a piedi di 2 ore e mezza, del centro storico di Lucca, con INGRESSO e VISITA GUIDATA alla cattedrale di San Martino e alla basilica di San Frediano. Su stradine acciottolate, tra palazzi signorili, torri mozzate, piazze antiche, vi racconterò le storie della città della Toscana mai dominata dai Medici e vi darò consigli su dove gustare le specialità lucchesi. Partiamo da Piazza Anfiteatro meta di chi vuol godersi un aperitivo in una atmosfera affascinante e ci portiamo sulle imponenti mura rinascimentali. Visiteremo l’interno della basilica di San Frediano dove vi racconterò la storia del “volto Santo” e della patrona di Lucca. Da lì ci sposteremo in Via Fillungo, la via dello shopping, sino alla chiesa di San Michele. Per i più golosi, lì possiamo assaggiare il Buccellato. Passando per Piazza Napoleone vi racconterò la sua storia e poi ci porteremo alla Cattedrale di San Martino. Al suo interno vi racconterò la storia del monumento a Ilaria del Carretto.

Ci portiamo sulle mura al Baluardo di San Frediano. Le mura di Lucca, patrimonio dell'Unesco, sono le mura rinascimentali meglio conservate che si possono vedere in Toscana
La basilica contiene i resti di Santa Zita, molto cara ai Lucchesi e protettrice di servi e casalinghe Visiteremo l'interno per vedere gli affreschi che narrano l'arrivo del Volto Santo in città
A spasso per Via Fillungo, antico percorso dei pellegrini sulla via Francigena, oggi la via dello shopping a Lucca, vi racconterò della leggenda legata alla Torre dell'Orologio. Se avremo tempo, possiamo assaggiare il Buccellato, un dolce tipico di Lucca
A San Michele in Foro, prima vi racconterò la storia della sua facciata a vela e degli animali fantastici che vi si trovano raffigurati poi visiteremo il suo interno.
Una piazza dove vi racconterò storie di corte imperiale, di amori e di tradimenti
Arrivati alla Cattedrale di San Martino, visiteremo l'interno, vi racconterò la sua storia e quelle delle opere che vi si trovano, come il Volto Santo, il monumento funebre di Ilaria del Carretto e "La ultima cena" di Tintoretto

We hardly planned to stay in Lucca and knew nothing about the city, but we heeded Elena's recommendation - and didn't regret it one bit! Turns out there's so much to like: unusual stories, legends and amazing historical facts. Elena is an excellently trained guide, she knows an incredible amount and can tell stories in a way that makes you listen with pleasure. Definitely recommended!

Our friendly and very competent guide Elena took us here and there through the historic center of Lucca on the trail of the path of the Holy Face. The tour, which lasted almost 3 hours, was complete and exhaustive. Experience much appreciated and recommended.
Our guide elena was very nice and engaging in her 2.5 hour tour even further inside the historic center of Lucca. He illustrated history, art, rivalries and some anecdotes in a concise but complete way and some legends. I recommend this type of experience for an immersive city tour.

The guided tour was fantastic, as well as having been lucky with the weather the ride was exciting. Unexpected is the fact that a small town like Lucca can offer so much history, curious facts and anecdotes handed down for centuries. Elena told everything in detail, also answering questions that arose during the tour. In addition to visiting the city inside the walls and the churches indicated in the description, Elena recommended several places where you can taste the local cuisine of excellent quality.

Magnificent city, rich in history. Pleasant ride with several historical anecdotes. Competent guide and able to answer many questions. Pleasant surprise.
Elena guided us to visit the three most important churches in Lucca and made us discover things that we would never have noticed on our own. Very prepared, always with a big smile and a nice foreign accent, the visit of Lucca flows away easily between art, history and some light legends about Lucca and the Luccans. Very helpful, waited for us even though we were very late! During the tour he also gave us good recommendations on restaurants and other places to visit around Lucca. Highly recommended!
