Baja Tours was wonderful in accommodating my request to tour with Imelda as our guide to watch the humpback whales departing from La Paz. The journey toward Los Cabos was both enjoyable and informative—I learned about the seabirds along the way and even the story behind the famous (and often misunderstood) “Hotel California.” We were incredibly fortunate to witness an intimate moment with the whales, when a curious calf approached our boat and its mother gently intervened, guiding her back on course. It was a truly unforgettable experience.*
Seeing the whales! Although we were in the last week of the season so there were not many. Our guide was good. If you are in La Paz you should know that the whale watching is out of Cabo so the trip involves a 2-1/2 hr trip there and the same back. well worth it!
