A great experience with a perfect balance of interesting facts, anecdotes from our guide (Jeremy) interspersed with high quality food. Even as a Brit, I learned so much about the city of London in a short space of time. A really enjoyable experience and if you love good food, you will love this!

My wife and I had a great experience on this tour. Anna, our tour guide, was excellent. Bubbly personality, knowledgeable and a life-long Londoner. The food was delicious and Anna also provides a history of the food market as well as the surrounding area. Highly recommend!!

Overall good experience - Luke did a very good job. Was a bit hungry and thought there could have bigger portion sizes especially when we had the cheeses.

We have taken food tours in many cities around the world, so we were looking forward to this one. Unfortunately, it was our least favorite. Borough Market was so overcrowded that it was difficult to enjoy either the food or the history. We aren't talking about normal tourist crowds—it was shoulder-to-shoulder for much of the tour. Simply walking from one stop to the next was slow and stressful, and the guide warned us several times to watch for pickpockets. If you've ever experienced Mardi Gras crowds in New Orleans, this felt comparable or even worse in places. Another disappointment was a roughly 20-minute break that didn't seem to serve much purpose. It felt like filler rather than adding value to the experience. We were we had a 20 min break to walk around and try the free samples. The crowds made this impossible so we just stood there and waited. Future guests should also know tha you'll be standing while eating almost everything. There are very few places to sit or even set down a drink, which made eating awkward. The food itself was okay but not exceptional. The much-publicized "special secret dish" turned out to be an average cream doughnut, which was underwhelming considering how it is promoted. The guide was pleasant enough but nothing about the tour itself stood out. For the price, I expected a more relaxed experience with better food and a route that allowed us to appreciate Borough Market instead of simply fighting our way through it watching for pickpockets at the guides advice. If you want to visit the market, I honestly think you'd have a better experience going on your own, choosing the vendors that appeal to you, and visiting during a less crowded time. We saw lots of great options that were not on the tour. This is definitely something you can do without a tour.
