When traveling, authentic experiences are at the top of our list and this was a whopper! If you're not afraid to get down and dirty, you will walk away richer for this traditional rice farming experience. In terraces at various stages of production and muck up to our calves, we seeded a plant nursery, plowed behind a water buffalo, replanted in a water-laden terrace, pulled some weeds, looked for frogs and snails, harvested mature rice with a sickle, and thrashed dried stalks to separate the kernels. Out of the field there were lessons about the tools, transporting, bamboo uses and weaving, cooking, and even how to find the best seeds for the next season. The owner/teacher was down to earth and totally captivating. The waterfall was totally worth the visit too but the farming experience was "don't-miss extraordinary".

Our guide was super nice and helpful. Time flew by at Living Land Farm. It was great that you were active right away. We were given many interesting insights into rice cultivation. At the end we got treats from rice, just great😊 The trip to the waterfall was very nice. Our guide organized us a lunch right by the waterfall.
