Itinerario
Ci incontreremo nel centro della città al Gran Hotel Bolívar, Jirón de la Unión 958, e da lì partiremo per il famoso Mercato Centrale. E' a 15 minuti a piedi.
Prima di entrare nel famoso Mercato Centrale, ci fermeremo a gustare il rinomato piatto "4 Colori". Questa è una combinazione di piatti peruviani: ceviche, spaghetti rossi peruviani, chanfainita (uno stufato) e altri. Naturalmente, sarà accompagnato da un bicchiere rinfrescante di chicha morada (una bevanda a base di mais viola).
Visiteremo il Mercato Centrale e insieme visiteremo alcune bancarelle dove assaggeremo alcuni frutti esotici peruviani e un succo rinfrescante fatto da uno di loro.
Entreremo quindi nel piccolo mondo di Chinatown. Qui visiteremo una famosa bancarella, ben nota agli amanti del siu mai; un antipasto Cinese.
Esploreremo la zona fuori dal Mercato Centrale e assaggeremo piatti famosi: anticuchos (spiedini di carne alla griglia), pata con huavo (zampe di maiale con uovo), choclo con queso (mais con formaggio), mazamorra morada (budino di mais viola) e altri.
Il nostro tour culminerà intorno alla Plaza de Armas, dove proveremo il nostro ultimo spuntino della giornata: il famoso churro peruviano (una pasta fritta croccante, ricoperta di zucchero e spesso servita con salsa al cioccolato o caramello).

The agency was very easy to communicate with. My guide Juan Diego was energetic and was very knowledgeable and eager to teach about Peruvian culture and cuisine. He knew the best spots for street food around Lima and he was very supportive and eager to show and get me to try more and more of their local food during the tour. There was so much food! Our guide, Momo, was excellent. He is extremely knowledgeable about the area and the food. He took great care to show us everything he could. The food was great. This is definitely worthwhile.
