Jane Bauer is absolutely the best! She is just so patient kind and incredibly gifted!!! We made such awesome seafood! Her kitchen and where we ate was magical filled with butterflies birds and flowers! It can’t get much better than this! Thank you Jane, I’m so grateful🙏🦋🌻 Take care ! Sharon

Jane was a terrific host. Recipes were easy to learn and something that I'll be able to make at home. Her facility is lovely, clean and close to a river. The property is dedicate to being a cooking school with outdoor dining. I enjoyed her trivia while we cooked and be sure to purchase her flavored salts.

Our fluently multi-lingual hostess, Jane, is a dynamo! She immediately set the tone for a day of conversation, food exploration, cooking techniques and cultural awareness. Ceviche; shrimp mousse; baked rosemary shrimp; Baja fish tacos; homemade dipping chips; hibiscus iced tea left us all VERY full with great food and limitless information and resources. Ohhh, the benefit of living oceanside near fresh fish! - yet, the class explained how frozen fish can also be used. DEELISH. The casual, confident creativity really was the show stopper for me - next visit, we will go to Jane's restaurant, "Cafe Juanita".

The cooking class went beyond my expectations. Jane was prepared for the classes- had all ingredients prepared and demonstrated techniques required for each dish. I learned a lot about the peppers and chili's, so now I can adjust it to my liking. I really liked the 2 different kinds of ceviche- it was great to taste how they were similar but different. I also liked the shrimp 🍤 dish, it was easy to prepare. The fish Tacos were great. The shrimp mousse was great but I would not prepare it at home- I hate using my blender(do not have a food processor) it's too much work to clean it afterwards. Jane was awesome. She explained how to make delicious seafood dishes and we were hands on with the preparation. Jane also told us about the local food grown in the area and history of the community. We were a little out of our comfort zone but she made it easy to do. Rob and Sue Grant

Very authentic. Our host was super friendly and knowledgeable about all the local foods. She took us out of our comfort zone and really showed us how to make great dishes. Excellent lunch afterwards.

Great hostess, made us very welcome. Set up was excellent, food delicious, instructions clear and easy. Food was plentiful and beer was cold. Highly recommended. Enjoyed the class with 2 other Canadian couples, who were also very satisfied with the experience. The venue was off the beaten path about 25 minutes from Santa Cruz and the taxi driver, well... Another story.

If you are a foodie, or even if you’re not Jane’s classes are awesome! We did the seafood one and it was excellent! We learned a lot and will definitely make these dishes at home! There are many different classes to choose from, wish we had time to do some of the other ones! Check out Chiles and Chocolates in Huatulco!

Fantastic cooking class! 20 mins from Hualtuco pick up included. Jane has so much information to pass on and is such a culinary talent! The fish tacos, shrimp, seafood mousse, beverages, artisinal salt, and sauces were so delicious. Nothing but fresh ingredients and recipes at can make at home with the knowledge we now have. It was a great class and I would highly recommend!
