Per motivi di sicurezza, per questa attività è necessario un abbigliamento da montagna. Nel caso in cui non si disponga dell'abbigliamento adeguato si avrà la possibilità di noleggiarlo. Si arriva al punto di partenza seguendo la statale 3 per circa 17 chilometri; iniziamo l'escursione al parcheggio del sentiero, che ci porta rapidamente nel profondo della foresta. Il sentiero ci porta vicino a una diga di castori e attraversa la valle fino a trovare una torbiera, dove seguirà il fiume Esmeralda fino alla sua sorgente nella laguna di Esmeralda. Dopo un'ultima salita, arriveremo alla laguna: ghiacciata d'inverno e abbagliante con i suoi colori mozzafiato durante l'estate. Se il tempo è abbastanza buono, pranzeremo in laguna con una vista mozzafiato sul ghiacciaio dell'Albino, sulla laguna e sui dintorni. Successivamente, riprenderemo lo stesso percorso fino al trasferimento che ti riporterà al tuo hotel.

Julian, at most!! Super good guide, although it was a varied group, I always take care of everyone. Box lunch, the fact that they use reusable tuppers and earthenware fees, at most. Cups should be souvenirs because they're beautiful. Super good service, punctual, friendly and knowledgeable. 🫶🫶🫶

Route of approximately 10 km and back to the Esmeralda lagoon, a pocket of water that is formed from the melting of the glacier Ojo Albino. On the way you will find forests, rivers and dams made by the castors. The trail is easy but do not take too much weight or you will get tired. Vc also needs to hire a guide and a transfer from Ushuaia to the entrance of the trail that is on the edge of Ruta 3 but far from the center of Ushiaia.

Don't book this tour if you are arriving on a cruise ship, unless you are absolutely sure you arrive and can get off the ship by 9:30am.

The activity is worth it, especially when you reach that blue lagoon, it is not a gentle trekking and can be done by anyone

Great guide, very beautiful landscape. Group was 50% spanish and 50% north american. Could feed small birds from my hand with nuts. 10/10 would do again
Julian who's been the guide, a crack. And the site has been spectacular, it is worth doing the trail, although I have reached the day with rain and everything with mud, when you reach the final destination it is worth
The trail is light in difficulty, go and go gives about 5 hours with the guide who will stop at some points to give information. It's very organized. The lagoon is the most beautiful thing!! A show! There we stay a while to take pictures, enjoy, eat the snack that the agency offers and then we will return. All excellent, super recommend.

Entertaining and beautiful scenery!! We did the trecking in about 3hs, there was mud and it is technical more for the mud and the branches but it is what makes it entertaining in addition to the spectacular landscape when you leave the forest. It's marked and if you're not guided by people, we did it without guidance.
