Lubiana, la capitale e la città più grande della Slovenia, è il centro culturale, educativo, economico, politico e amministrativo del paese. È rinomato per la sua ricca storia, che si riflette nel patrimonio architettonico unico. Il suo centro storico è abbracciato dal Castello di Lubiana e dal fiume Ljubljanica, dove il sentimento della città è il più forte. Durante il tuo viaggio, incontrerai l'architettura antica e moderna. Visiterai il centro storico dove ammirerai le opere dell'architetto sloveno Jože Plečnik, che ha svolto un ruolo importante nella progettazione dei ponti, delle piazze e dei parchi più famosi di Lubiana. Bled è una città alpina che rappresenta una delle destinazioni turistiche più antiche e più belle della Slovenia. La sua attrazione principale è il lago che circonda l'isola di Bled. L'isola ha diversi edifici, il principale è la chiesa gotica dedicata all'Assunzione di Maria. La chiesa ha un campanello a volontà ed è spesso visitata da sposi e altri ospiti. Lake Bled ti lascerà senza parole poiché offre varie attività sportive e rappresenta un luogo dove trascorrere i momenti più romantici della tua vita. Durante il viaggio, camminerai intorno al lago godendoti l'aria fresca alpina e guardando cigni e anatre che giocano. Inoltre, ammirerai il Castello di Bled costruito su un precipizio sopra il lago glaciale che secondo fonti scritte è il più antico castello sloveno. Alla fine, passerai vicino ad altri monumenti locali e ci rinfrescerai con una deliziosa torta alla crema alla vaniglia e crema pasticcera chiamata cremeschnitte (kremšnita). Avrai anche la possibilità di scattare alcune bellissime foto del lago, dell'isola, del castello e delle vicine Alpi.

The most spectacular views in both Bled and Ljubljana. We wish we had more time- but were glad thar we were able to see both! If you are on a cruise ship- be aware it’s quite a lot of travel on the road! I would return to both !
We did the Lake Bled & Ljubljana tour from Trieste. This was still a fun day tour despite of the rainy weather. Ernest our tour guide & driver was amazing. Our cruise had a change in port and the company was able to make the pick-up adjustment without issues. There were no issues in the pickup and Ernest was punctual! Our first stop was to Lake Bled. Ernest shared a Slovenia's history and culture along the way. It was an excellent way to pass the drive time as well as soak in the scenery. Ernest gave us an 1.5 hour at Lake Bled and showed us all the interesting things to do. This included what facilities are available :). Despite of the rain, we did enjoy the walk along the lake. Had it be better weather, we may have opted to do the walk up to the castle. We did try the renowned Solvenian cream cake which didn't disappoint, especially for dessert lovers and great with coffee. Second stop was Ljubljana. We had just over 2.5hr here to walk around the city. Ernest gave us a quick walk through the main parts of the city to orient us and point out interesting landmarks to explore further. He also shared options for food and facilities as well. We had a great time exploring the castle w/ view above the city. (I opted to take the funicular up and walking trail down). We still had plenty of time to walk around the city and grab a nice lunch too! All in all, a great day excursions. Ernest really did make it a great experience by sharing all his knowledge of Slovenia and the two locations. Very approachable & friendly too!
I had booked this tour long before we left on our cruise. Two days before we got to Koper, the tour operator cancelled the tour citing end of summer traffic—please look at attached photo. I had to scramble last minute, to get on a similar tour offered by the cruise. The cruise had large buses covering the same places as this tour offered (I’d booked with this company hoping for a smaller group experience), and we visited these same places without experiencing the traffic delays this tour operator cited as a reason for cancellation. So, be aware of this possibility of cancellation if you choose this company for your tour.
Dear Glory Daniel, We completely understand that receiving a tour cancellation notice just two days before your planned arrival was quite frustrating. However, please know that this decision was made solely with your best interests in mind. It's possible you may not have been aware that throughout the entire summer, our region was plagued by severe traffic congestion on the highway, which had been widely reported in the media. If we had proceeded with the tour as scheduled and found ourselves trapped in this traffic, there was a significant risk that you could have missed your cruise departure. We genuinely did not want to bear the responsibility for such an unfortunate outcome. Your safety and satisfaction are our utmost priorities, and we firmly believe that taking this precautionary measure was the responsible and wise choice.
We enjoyed our trip to Lake Bled and Lubijiana. Our tour guide Mauritzio did an excellent job in keeping the tour on time despite having the bus break down near a rest area on the way to Lake Bled. Despite a delay of 45 minutes we still had enough time to see everything the tour offered.
Valentina was a friendly and knowledgeable guide. This was an enjoyable excursion from Koper to get a taste of other parts of Slovenia. Bled is nearly 2 hours from Koper and Ljubljana more than 1 so we spent approximately 1 hour at the Lake and 1.5 in the city.
