Viator never disappoints! My wife and I booked this shoe-making workshop, and it was a blast! Jimmy guided us through the process of making traditional wooden shoes by hand, which is no easy task. While we didn't finish ours entirely by hand, Jimmy used a machine for the final steps. Though we didn't complete every part ourselves, the experience of making them was incredibly fun. In addition, we painted small wooden shoe bottle openers and enjoyed several cheese tastings. Speaking of cheese, they also walked us through the cheesemaking process, explaining how it's made from start to finish. It was a fantastic experience that we would highly recommend!
The guy doing demo knows our language. He was very patient in our queries. Nice to see how shoes and cheese are made. The staff inside are very accomodating. Ended up buying shoes and most of all , lots of those Gouda cheese.
it was interesting to experience using traditional tools to make a clog but too much time was needed and we were definitely not able to finish one in the allocated time. we were allowed to switch to painting a clog-shaped bottle opener halfway so we could at least bring a small souvenir home.
