We went to Praderia Casa Mila at the 10pm slot. The building is one of a kind, the architecture has a level of detail that reminds us of our creativity and thoughtfulness to function of a building... Every detail had a reason. It also shows the divide between the rich and poor. The climax of the night does not fail to deliver incredible night sky experience matched by the picturesque views of the city of Barcelona.
Casa Mila was beautiful and it was really interesting and unique to see it lit up at night. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. I was jet lagged and the group size was about 20, but she was very kind when I asked her questions or to report something. The light show was interesting, but even better was the view from the roof top.
Invitation from my dear son who currently lives in Barcelona. A beautiful experience. The house is visited at night, you get to know the interior, and finally, you go up to the rooftop where you enjoy light shows and wonderful nighttime views of this beautiful city. It ends with a glass of cava and local sweets.
A beautiful tour through the house and then a light show on the roof, which rounded off the experience with a glass of champagne.
Frankly, it was pretty bad. I like to take notes when I go on tours and I didn’t even open my notebook, I learned nothing. We spent 15 minutes in the lobby watching some video that just was a series of pictures, didn’t explain anything. Then we had a very chirpy guide who was trying too hard to be funny, I felt bad for her because no one even cracked a smile. She showed us the interior of the house, which was OK, but it was basically here is the kitchen from 100 years ago, the bathroom, the dining room. No real information, very little about Gaudi. She finally brought us on the rooftop and we spent almost 20 minutes watching a light show on the statues which would’ve been interesting for half the amount of time. It just felt like they were filling up time with nothing much. Felt like a total waste of time—and money— very commercial and not what I was expecting at all.
This is an experience that is subject to weather. Since it's on a rooftop, the possibility of lightning delayed and eventually canceled our reservation. We were not able to reschedule due to our itinerary, so it was a bit of a let down. It would've been nice to get a weather/programming warning from the facility so we didn't waste our time walking nearly 3km to get there only to head back to our hotel. Also, cancelations are not conveyed to agents, so refunds have to be pursued by the individuals.
Extraordinaire!! Genius creator!! Innovator!! For the beginning of the 20th century. Just WOW!!! To visit!!! Absolutely 💯
Requires whisper headsets- none existed. Guide’s English was poorly executed. Loved the architecture, understood little.
My husband and I toured La Pedrera at 21h20 on March 18. Our guide was excellent. The tour was interesting and informative.
This was one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve had at an attraction. The light show is absolutely not worth it. You are rushed up six levels of stairs or the option to according to the host, take a small lift which takes 10 min to reach up. Even middle aged people were gasping on the way up as there was no rest point, elderly people were stretching when they were up on the roof. All the attendees are required to crammed together to listen to the host at each spot, and if you could not get close enough, you would not be able to get what she was saying. The light show itself is boring, and has almost nothing to do with Casa Mila. Kids found it boring and elderly people were so tired after the walk and stood there watching something not relevant. It adds no meaningful context to the building and feels like a gimmick rather than a cultural experience. The entire visit is leaves you feeling irritated rather than inspired. Save your money and book a daytime visit which allows u ample time to walk and enjoy, with an audio guide which allows u to learn and appreciate the architecture and details. The cava and orange juice at the end were the only redeeming part. Without that, I would have left furious.
