8:00 -8:30: Verremo a prendervi al vostro alloggio nel centro di Luang Prabang. Cascate di Kuangsi: Questo pacchetto di destinazione avventura ti porta alle cascate di Kuang Si. Queste cascate sono magnifiche e impressionanti. Rilassatevi e godetevi la spettacolare bellezza naturale delle cascate. L'acqua dalle cascate a monte scende lungo frastagliate scogliere calcaree in piscine blu turchese di varie dimensioni. Avremo 2 ore per esplorare la cascata a tre livelli, camminare lungo un sentiero della riserva naturale, nuotare in pozzanghere turchesi rinfrescanti e visitare un centro di conservazione degli orsi. Avventuroso può camminare lungo il ripido sentiero fino alla cima delle cascate per una vista spettacolare. Durante il tragitto ci fermeremo a Ban Na Uang (un villaggio di reinsediamento Hmong). Qui puoi incontrare il popolo Hmong che originariamente viveva negli altopiani. Pranza al ristorante.
Attraversando il possente fiume Mekong in piccola barca fino alla base di una scogliera calcarea, il sito della grotta Pak Ou. La grotta inferiore è impressionante e piena di statue e reliquie buddiste. Prendetevi il vostro tempo per esplorare la scena riverente profumata di incenso bruciante e si affaccia sull'impressionante paesaggio del Mekong. Salendo una serie tortuosa di scale, prendi una torcia elettrica e troverai un'altra grotta affascinante e facilmente navigabile da esplorare con le sue antiche reliquie buddiste.
Il nostro viaggio fa la sua ultima breve sosta al Ban Xang Hai, conosciuto anche come il Villaggio del Whisky. Qui si vede il processo di produzione del Lao Lao, il whisky di riso amato del paese, e gustare le fresche delizie locali. Perché non prendere un paio di bottiglie per dopo? Good tour. A bit more driving than we expected but still a good time. Our guide was great and very informative.
One of the nicest towns to visit in South East Asia! Fantastic temples, architecture, waterfalls and the Mekong river. Really a beautiful place.
Quangsi waterfall, bear secure shelter, on the road all around the Luamg Prabang, and cave with boat cruise tour with tranquil , amazing view of Mekong river, rice whiskey, oh also the lunch with beautiful view place was perfect. Everything was perfect. So nice, especially our guide explain really nice kindly, so I got a really nice experience on my whole trip.
Excellent all day trip to caves, waterfalls and bear sanctuary. Very pleasant, enthusiastic and informative guide who made the trip memorable. Highly recommended!
Did a 4 hour trip to the waterfall and did not know about the bear rescue centre till we got there. Mixed feelings on this as I hate to see big wild animals in cages but if they have been rescued then it's a good thing as long as it's not a zoo type situation. The waterfalls are really nice the big one is pretty amazing. We did a bit of a climb to the steps and then had a lovely ice cold swim. There are those fish that like to see if your tasty though! Not biting or anything but they make you jump 😆 We'll with a visit
I would definitely say to anyone - do visit the Bear Sanctuary and please do support the project - it's the last hope for these beautiful, charming beings who are under massive threat from poaching. It's a centre to learn about these magnificent and yet vulnerable creatures who really need our help. So do visit and please do support!
We took a private tuk tuk ride to the waterfall and bear rescue centre. It was a further distance than we thought and if you have a bad back don’t go with a tuk tuk but it was a great deal cheaper. It had been raining and the waterfall wasn’t blue but we did get warned that would happen after the rain. Did see plenty of the bears but the enclosures were a bit dingy but I suppose the bears were better in their enclosures than being stuck in a cruel cage. We decided not to go to the caves and were back at Luang Prabang within 3 hours.
