Descrizione

If this is your first trip to this area this trip is a fabulous way to see the places located all around the largest lake in Italy 🇮🇹. You will be picked up in the bus station in Garda at 8am and will be looked after by a tour guide who will educate you on interesting facts about the lake and the villages you pass through. 1. The first stop is in Sirmione. This is a beautiful small town located on a 3km peninsula on the lake. There is an optional boat tour here for 12 euro extra - DO IT! 2. You will travel through a number of other places on your way up to Limone sul Garda. The trip there will again take you past some historical places and a really interesting tunnel under the mountains🤞 The north part of the lake reminded me of the Amalfi coast near Sorrento. 3. Limone itself is lovely, our tour guide recommended the Palme hotel restaurant as a place to have lunch and we had about 2 hours free time here. I have been wary of recommendations by guides in the past but I have to say the food and service here was very good. The tomato sauce that the mussels came in was the best I have ever tasted. 4. You leave the coach in Limone and take the ferry to Malcesine a town on the other side of the lake. This is a lovely small town with narrow streets to wonder and you have enough time to have a glass of wine or beer in one of the pretty bars around the town. 5. Back to the coach and about a 45 minute journey back to Garda bus station. A long day but one you will enjoy and learn lots about the area❤️🇮🇹
What a fantastic way to see the area. A quick coach ride to the stunning Sirmione, a look around and a boat trip around the island to see the castle from all angles and also see the ruined Roman villa. Then a longer coach ride around to Limone which is a beautiful small village. Then a ferry across to Mancesine and a good look around another stunning town. Altogether a perfect was to see the towns and villages around the lake. The guide, Ramo, was extremely knowledgeable and very professional. Would definitely recommend.
I wish we had more time a couple of towns that we went through and could've done a lower pace with the bus. Other than that it was very good was able to see a lot love the two boat rides.
Mainly bus trip with short public ferry across lake. Very good commentator in English that provided very good info on lake and towns.
It's advertised as the original Lake Garda boat trip. In truth its one crossing in a boat from, one side of the lake to the other the rest is spent on a coach. If it wasn't for the tour guide who was incredibly funny and I would have asked for my money back. These tours are great for first time visitors who get a snap shot of places to visit.
Highly recommend this tour.Having taken the crowded public bus to Malcesine a few days before this was far more relaxed and comfortable. We expected more time on boats but that was down to us not reading the itinerary properly. The added €12 for a boat around Sirmeone was well worth it as we saw more than those who walked. The tour guide Yo, was excellent and gave us lots of information about each town we passed through and the history of the lake itself. Time flew by in each town so plan to shop, sightsee or eat carefully.
A good way to see resorts and towns around Lake Garda, that otherwise I would not have visited. Our guide provided really interesting information about the area.
It's a lovely bus trip with a short boat ride invluded! We thought by the description and map that it's a day-long boat trip. We had an amazing day around Lago di Garda, learned A LOT while sitting on the bus, thanks to our wonderful coach, Karen.
I booked the tour with TUI prior to arrival on holiday. We were picked up from the bus station in Garda at 8am and picked a few more people up from Bardolino along the way. The first stop an hour or so later was in Sirmione and we had just over an hour here. Sirmione is beautiful and well worth the visit, you do arrive however before most of the shops open but you can still find places to eat and get coffees. Back on the coach for two hours to arrive in Limone before lunch time. Again a stunning place but very narrow and crowded around the ferry port, so only knows what high season would be like. We caught the ferry here to Riva before meeting the coach again to Malcesine. We had another hour or so here before the coach back to Garda. It was a long day but so well organised, our guide was great and it’s a fab way to see all the other resorts around the lake. I would highly recommend booking and think it’s cheaper to do this before you go rather than booking with the reps when you are on holiday.
