Descrizione

Kyoto in a Typhoon

This was a great tour, despite the typhoon! Kevin was incredibly knowledgeable and shared a lot of insight that we would not have otherwise known. Had the weather been better, I'm sure we would have had lots more questions! But that is travel - you have to roll with the punches. We even caught glimpse of a geisha at the last possible moment. Thanks for a fun evening!

Kyoto highlights best seen after dark

It was very interesting and so stunningly beautiful to see all those areas for the first time after dark, lit up by lanterns. Janiel was a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable, friendly and funny. Great value and I Would recommend this tour to anyone!

A Magical Kyoto Experience with Janiel

This was our first time in Japan, and Janiel made our visit to Kyoto exceptional. She is incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights and answering every question we had about Kyoto. As a walking enthusiast herself, she guided us through some of the city’s most magical and beautiful areas. As an added bonus, the tour ended up being private, making the experience even more special. It goes without saying that we highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kyoto!

Family trip to Japan

Kevin was absolutely outstanding! We are traveling with our 18 year old son and 22 year old daughter and he was super friendly and engaged them in conversation which increased their interest in this activity. Kevin is extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions in perfect English. This is exactly what you need if you’re looking for an introduction to Shinto, Buddhism, temples, shrines and Geiko (Geisha) culture. Perfect evening! Thanks Kevin for an unforgettable experience! I will recommend him to our traveler friends.

A passionate guide with a small group atmosphere

We greatly enjoyed our time with Kevin. We had a private group tour and it felt like hanging out with a well-informed friend rather than a more formal guide. We were able to ask Kevin all sorts of questions about Kyoto and Japanese history and culture. It's clear he is both knowledgeable and passionate.

Best tour of Gion

The Gion Walking night tour was amazing, started by meeting at the Kyoto Fun office for a quick slide show and overview of geisha culture, from there we walked and learned more about the differences between geisha, geiko & maiko. There happen to be a geisha festival the day we booked so there were quite a few walking around. We even got to go to the festival and interact with some. We then went to the famous Hokan-ji Temple (Yasaka Pagoda) at golden hour for some beautiful pictures. Niall was very knowledgeable and would highly recommend booking this tour for anyone.
