My son and I had an amazing experience fishing with Bite me. We caught a 180 lb Yellow Fin Tuna! Weather was great! Could not have asked for a better time.

Caption Brian and his deckhand did a great job. Once he noticed the Marlins weren't biting they switched it up and we caught a Wahoo. We had 5 bites.
Awesome! While Ono may not be as exciting as catching a 500lb Blue Marlin, I can assure you it is way better eating. Hopefully you guys got to enjoy all that fresh deliciousness. Kudos to our Captain Brian! -Aloha
My son and I did a 4 hour trip and unfortunately no one on the boat caught anything which I don’t hold against the crew or company. We still had a very enjoyable boat ride on the coast on a gorgeous day which is a win for me. Our captain Brad and first mate Robert are salt of the earth people that did everything they could to try to get us a catch. They are very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable and I would recommend them and the company. Please note to bring your own food and drinks as they are not set up to provide that. They do have a cooler for your goods.
I am sorry to read there were no catches. I wish I could boast that every trip caught fish but that just wouldn't be the reality of the type of fishing we do here on the Kona Coast. With deep waters and seasonal pelagic fish that we troll for, it's more about quality versus quantity. You can get giant Blue Marlin or large Yellowfin Ahi tunas or my personal favorite, Ono & Mahi but at times the most skilled Captain & crew will come back with nothing. The two-man crew did not care much for teaching or customer service. It was almost like it was an inconvenience that we (customers) were present. Even if there is no catch for the day, there are several things you can do to make it a good experience. They didn't share nearly anything about themselves or experience fishing. They look suprised when a marlin did bite. It took them a while to react to it, and we lost it rather quickly. I don't recommend. Go for an organization that does the smaller fish. Even the locals think the charters in Kona are a scam, where they just drive you out on the water for four hours because the money is good for them. I would have to agree. Had I know this would be the experience, I definitely would have selected another excursion.
I am sorry to read this was not a great experience for you. I understand the type of fishing we do is not always what people expect versus fishing other places. With deep water and seasonal pelagic fish, the traditional way of fishing here is trolling with lures and sometimes caught bait fish. It can be more of a hunting expedition but you can get a giant Blue Marlin or a large yellowfin Ahi tuna, ect. It is more quality versus quantity. I would always encourage people to do a bit of research about the fishing in the geographical location to set expectations. I am very sorry to read the crew did not give the proper attention to give more of an entertaining experience. Mahalo for giving us a try. -Aloha
Boat rigged to troll for big game fish and is hit or miss. Our trip was a 4 hour boat ride without a bite.
I am sorry to read the trip did not yield any catches. We are running 5 lines trolling with lures. Fishing for seasonal pelagic fish such as Ahi, Mahi, Ono, Spearfish, Striped and Blue Marlin. Mahalo for giving us a try. -Aloha

We sailed on Bite Me 6 with Cam and Brian… from the start both were extremely helpful and personable and were on a mission to catch fish. For a while it looked as if we would come up empty until we caught two fish on our way back in to the harbour! Cam and Brian never stopped looking and trying to find action. Thanks a million to both of you. Highly recommend Bite Me 6
