Chiesa di San Francesco, a Fort Kochi (Fort Cochin), Kochi, originariamente costruita nel 1503, è una delle più antiche chiese europee in India e ha un grande significato storico come testimone muto della lotta coloniale europea nel subcontinente. L'esploratore portoghese Vasco da Gama morì a Kochi nel 1524 quando era alla sua terza visita in India. Il suo corpo fu originariamente sepolto in questa chiesa, ma dopo quattordici anni i suoi resti furono rimossi a Lisbona.

Fort Kochi beach è una spiaggia lungo il Mar Arabico situata a Fort Kochi nella città di Kochi nel sud dell'India, nello stato del Kerala.
Il cimitero olandese è tra i siti visitati a Fort Kochi, famoso per i suoi abitanti imperiali durante i tempi antichi che hanno lasciato le loro terre d'origine secoli fa per propagare ed espandere il proprio impero. Il servizio di lavanderia iniziato dalla comunità Vannar dal Tamil Nadu durante il periodo olandese segue ancora il metodo tradizionale di lavare i panni a mano, asciugarli all'aperto e stirarli. Circa 45 lavandai sono impiegati presso la lavanderia. L’ultima mossa del Vannar Sangham è quella di attirare i giovani della comunità alla vocazione tradizionale e quindi di conservarla.

Il Cochin Tirumala Devaswom, chiamato anche Gosripuram è la più grande e importante istituzione socio-religiosa del Gowda Saraswat Brahmins del Kerala, India. Il tempio è situato a Cherlai, nel cuore della città di Mattancherry, nella zona di Cochin, che è uno dei primi insediamenti di GSB in Kerala. Il tempio fu fondato nella seconda metà del XVI secolo. La storia dei GSB in Kerala è intrecciata con quella di questo tempio e del suo idolo Venkateswara.

La sinagoga Paradesi è la più antica sinagoga attiva del Commonwealth delle Nazioni, situata a Kochi, nel Kerala, nell'India meridionale. Costruita nel 1568, è una delle sette sinagoghe del popolo Malabar Yehudan o Yehudan Mappila o comunità ebraica Cochin nel Regno di Cochin.

Amazing Shopping Tour with Shihab in Kochi! We had a fantastic shopping experience in Kochi with Shihab from Legendary Kochi Tuk Tuk Tour. This was much more than just a shopping trip — Shihab helped us discover some wonderful local shops and experience the real shopping culture of Kochi. We started with the Spice Market, which was one of our favourite parts of the tour. There was such a wonderful variety of Kerala spices, including pepper, cardamom, cinnamon and other traditional products. Shihab explained the different spices and helped us understand their importance in Kerala's history and culture. It was a great place to buy authentic local spices to take home. We also visited some lovely fabric and textile shops, where we found beautiful Kerala fabrics, traditional clothing and colourful materials. Shihab was very helpful and gave us enough time to look around without feeling rushed. He also helped us communicate with the shopkeepers and made the whole experience much easier. Another highlight was visiting the souvenir shops. We found many beautiful gifts and local handicrafts to take home for our family and friends. There were so many interesting things to choose from, and Shihab helped us find items that were genuinely connected to Kerala and Kochi. What we appreciated most was Shihab's local knowledge. He knows the area very well and understands what tourists are looking for. He was friendly, honest and patient throughout the shopping tour. We never felt pressured, and he made sure we had a relaxed and enjoyable experience. If you want to buy spices, fabrics, traditional Kerala products, souvenirs and gifts while visiting Kochi, we highly recommend doing a shopping tour with Shihab. It is a great way to explore the local markets and shops while also learning more about Kochi's culture. Thank you, Shihab, for making our shopping experience so easy, enjoyable and memorable.
