Salita Kilimanjaro, Machame Route (7 giorni)

A huge thank you to Alteza Travel! Our entire trip was perfectly organized from start to finish. All the accommodations were very nice, our two-day safari, and the seven-day Kilimanjaro climb were arranged flawlessly. We had an absolutely fantastic time. We climbed Kilimanjaro via the Machame Route, and the entire support team was amazing. A special thanks to our guides Frank, Jonas, Aggrey and Anthony, who, together with the whole team, helped and guided us all the way to the summit. Their support, professionalism and positive attitude made the experience truly unforgettable. Well done to everyone at Alteza Travel! I can highly recommend them to anyone considering a trip to Tanzania or climbing Kilimanjaro. Definitely worth booking your trip with them!

Magnificent experience, very rich both humanly and physically. Everything was perfectly organized, from our arrival at the airport to our return. We were very well taken care of throughout the entire adventure. A huge thank you to the entire team! The porters, the assistants, the cook, and of course our guides Aaron, Adam, and Donovan! They were wonderful with us. They supported, encouraged, and motivated us throughout the climb, especially during the last big ascent to the summit. On the last day, the guides and assistants were particularly attentive. They made sure that we were well hydrated, that we ate enough, and that we kept enough energy to succeed in this climb in the best conditions. Thanks also to Violeta, who stayed by my side during the final ascent. A big thank you to Paolo, who was wonderful with us. He served us breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and waited for us after the stages with hot tea, drinks, and cookies. His way of communicating was very touching, and we will keep an excellent memory of him. Thanks also to Hamza for his dedication and for all the work he accomplished every day at the camps, in conditions that were not always easy. He was extraordinary. The cook also did a remarkable job. We always ate very well, which is far from easy in such conditions. We will also not forget the person who took our backpacks after each stage, placed them in our tents, and even dusted off our pants. I unfortunately did not remember all the first names, because the team was large, but everyone contributed to our comfort and the success of this adventure. Thanks to Denis and the entire Altezza team. This climb of Kilimanjaro will remain an unforgettable experience for us!️

Preparation, execution, and experience were simply five stars! I felt well taken care of by Altezza from the beginning - a lot happens digitally before the trip via the personal dashboard. You are regularly reminded to get your vaccinations or to apply for the visa. During the Kili climb, a professional team takes care of all the amenities. In the tent, there is even a real mattress on which I slept well. In the evening, there is a hot water bottle. Daily medical checks ensure monitoring. The guides are well-trained and provide a clear briefing daily. Clear recommendation for these professionals!

The trip was truly amazing. The team before during and after the hike were extremely welcoming and helpful. Specific emphasis on the food, which was truly amazing. The trip itself was a once in a lifetime experience that I’ll never forget.

I could not have asked for a better tour operator to book with. I initially had planned to do the trek with my partner, but do to some logistical challenges, he was ultimately unable to join. Altezza was very flexible leading up to the trip, offering multiple options up until the day before I left. This demonstrated great value for the money even before the trip started. My arrival in Tanzania went very smoothly. An Altezza driver picked me up from the airport with no issue and drove me the hour from the JRO airport to the Aishi Machame hotel in Moshi. The room I stayed in was very clean and comfortable. The day before leaving, I had a 1-1 meeting with an Altezza staff member to walk through all my gear and sort out any rentals I needed. On the actual trek, we had 3 very experienced guides - Eliakim, Hance, and Victor. They were all very friendly, supportive, and knowledgeable. These 3 guides supported a group of 9 of us. With this high guide to hiker ratio, they were able to accommodate a couple times where some of us needed to go at a different pace than others, which was very nice. We were supported by a team of outstanding guides-in-training, porters, and chefs that also contributed to a great experience. While this is a once-in-a-lifetime trip, if I were to do it again, I would definitely go with Altezza.

Amazing experience. Altezza are a fantastic company. They kept me and my family safe and got us to the top and back safely. Our chief guide was Kombe- I can’t say enough great things about him. Just a gentleman and a professional. Our other two guides Valancy and Eric were also fantastic. The whole crew of 30 were just great. Samsun is training to be a guide and he is already there - very motivating and caring. Albert the cook made fabulous meals for us (vegetarian and vegan dishes). This team is just amazing and I can not thank Altezza enough for matching us up with them. I would highly recommend Altezza if you are thinking about Kilimanjaro- they are simply the best at what they do !!

This was an incredible experience. The service is better than in a 5 star hotel, amazing food, amazing people, strongly recommend !

Extremely hard but well worth it! The guides were very knowledgeable and kept us safe. All of the support staff (I believe there were about 40 for 8 of us trekkers) were so friendly and helpful. We were amazed at the delicious food we were served at every meal. How do they do it?! I was really struggling on summit night. One of the guides in training carried my backpack for me or I don’t think I would have made it. There were so many little things they did for us that I won’t get into because they are best left as surprises. We couldn't have asked for better hosts. ☺️

Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! I hiked Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro, followed by a safari to Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Lake Natron. Altezza was just fantastic from the moment I was picked up at the airport to the moment I was dropped off three weeks later. The itinerary they my travel expert Mary planned for me was well-organized and detailed. The guides for both the hikes and the safari were extremely knowledgeable. The climbing itineraries are designed to keep you safe and maximize your chances of getting to the top. I was a solo climber on Meru and successfully summitted. For Kili, all 14 of us summitted. From walking slowly, feeding you enough (and the food was great), making sure you drink enough water, d providing Diamox if necessary and making you as comfortable as possible high on a mountain, every detail was covered. The porters were also exceptional and always helpful. Altezza's experience has led them to think of every detail pertaining to the hike, including what to do if something goes wrong. They may not be the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. This is an elite company! Highly recommend.

Guiders are very professional, we are enjoyed so much with this trip even we feel tired, but guider team always encourage us. We cannot summit the top without them.
