Mentre ci lasciamo alle spalle la vivace città ci fermiamo alla diga di Zhinvali, un maestoso lago artificiale abbracciato da colline lussureggianti e ondulate. Scattate foto perfette da cartolina e godetevi l'atmosfera serena prima di continuare la nostra ascesa in montagna.
Successivamente, visitiamo la Fortezza di Ananuri, una meraviglia architettonica secolare arroccata sopra le acque turchesi del bacino idrico di Zhinvali. Immergiti nei racconti della nobiltà georgiana medievale mentre ti aggiri tra le sue antiche mura di pietra
La strada ci porta poi a Gudauri, una stazione sciistica famosa in tutto il mondo che vanta incredibili viste panoramiche tutto l'anno. Anche senza neve, le maestose cime di Gudauri e i vasti spazi aperti offrono uno spettacolo ipnotico, perfetto per una breve passeggiata e un po’ di aria fresca di montagna.
Mentre continuiamo il nostro viaggio attraverso il mozzafiato Passo Jvari, saliamo a un'altitudine di 2.395 metri, dove i panorami spaziano oltre ciò che le parole possono catturare. L’aria si assottiglia, e il paesaggio si trasforma in qualcosa che viene da un sogno. Lungo la strada, facciamo una sosta struggente al Monumento all'amicizia georgiano-russo di epoca sovietica, una testimonianza della complessa storia della regione. Stando qui, sentirete il peso del passato e la bellezza del presente, rendendo questo momento indimenticabile.
Il nostro viaggio raggiunge il suo culmine nella chiesa della Santissima Trinità di Gergeti, uno dei monumenti più maestosi della Georgia. Arroccato a 2.170 metri di altitudine, questo luogo sacro si erge orgoglioso sullo sfondo delle maestose montagne Kazbegi. Da qui, ammirerai la pittoresca città di Stephantsminda, una vista serena che sembra di entrare in una cartolina vivente. Our Kazbegi tour with 11 Regions was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The scenery was breathtaking – from the Ananuri Fortress and Gudauri viewpoints to the incredible Gergeti Trinity Church with Mount Kazbek in the background. Every stop along the route felt like a postcard come to life. The itinerary was perfectly organized, allowing us to enjoy the stunning landscapes, local history, and culture without feeling rushed. The Kazbegi route is considered one of Georgia’s most spectacular day trips, and this tour exceeded all expectations. What made the experience even better was the exceptional service from the team. Giga was incredibly helpful not only during the tour but also with arranging our transfer between Tbilisi and Yerevan. His communication was excellent, he was always responsive, and he made everything completely stress-free. Givi was also highly professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful throughout our travels. Both of them went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. If you are looking for a private, well-organized, and memorable experience in Georgia, I can wholeheartedly recommend 11 Regions. I went on a holiday to Georgia and had an amazing experience, thanks to the guidance of two wonderful friends, Alex and Giga. They took us to so many memorable places and made the entire trip enjoyable and affordable. Their kindness, hospitality, and knowledge truly made our vacation special. I loved it! We had a car trip to the famous landmarks and huge mountains. The landscape was amazing, the sites were beautiful. The only problem was with the road block, which can happen due to large number of truck traffic on this serpentine road.
I was contacted on WhatsApp the same day that I booked the trip to talk about my request for some of the group to hike up to the church, and for some of the group to go in a vehicle. The guide offered a good solution which was agreed. Pick up/drop off on the day was straightforward. The day was great - we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. He drove carefully on the difficult road, and suggested a good stop for food. Accommodating the split request of our group was fantastic. We would highly recommend this trip.

I fully enjoyed my day trip out of Tbilisi to Kazbegi. No way would I have wanted to drive myself on the mountain roads. Giga was great company as a solo traveler. The scenery along the way was top-notch with the highlight being Gergeti Trinity Church but the other stop were nice too to space out time in the car. I do recommend having lunch at the Rooms hotel. Meal was excellent as well as the view of the church from afar. I did three tours with 11 regions and Giga and would recommend them all.

Excellent experience despite being a boutique-sized agency, Giga proved incredibly reliable and efficient.
