Kayak e snorkeling West Maui a Olowalu

This was a particularly bad experience. For rescheduling 3 times one would expect it to be for a reason apparently not. For weather reasons it was rescheduled yet the day it was scheduled it was terrible, despite being told its “perfect” out and there’s “at least 100ft visibility”, the waters were unbelievably murky and you could barely see the flippers on your feet. Though I understand nature is unpredictable you would expect it to be checked or verified in some way. Particularly considering other tours we went on rescheduled for days that had actual viability and would decide to go to other locations or not to go to a location specifically for the reason of poor seeing conditions. Not simply saying that everything is great only to go out and immediately realize it’s terrible. Furthermore, we were told that they would be there at 7:30 and would start at 8 only to get a call that they’ll be there at 8:30 and all then said and done actually starting over an hour later. Then on the water Wes is constantly flying ahead and mumbling so directions and any attention towards the group is severely lacking. Immediately realizing the water is terrible we were still told to jump in the water and were forced to catch up to Wes still on the kayak because he’s trying to find turtles. As great as that could be finding turtles doesn’t help when you can’t see anything. It also isn’t awesome when the whole time Wes is saying how awful it is and we need to reschedule, reschedule, we just have to reschedule, this is terrible, then trying to guilt trip into giving a tip. We were on the water for maybe an hour before going back since you could see nothing and the snacks included was warm water, granola bars, and almost out of season fruit. After the absolute crap storm, of following a mumbling person who seemed high, with terrible conditions for no reason, we talked to the main guy saying that we were out there maybe a half of the supposed tour sign and it was a disaster we didn’t have time to reschedule was there any refund options. We were promptly told no buts its ok because he’ll take the 20% for having to reschedule “saving you $48. I told him to just keep the viator booking that’s fine I’m over it, but no he refunds that to then charge me elsewhere. Now the 20% is apparently for a different price since 20% off the 238 we booked would be $190 yet the price is now $205 with the discount and he’s asking us what about tipping, gratuity multiple times, so frustrated and wanting to be over with it I just say just charge $230 oh boy $8 off lucky me… It was overall unprofessional and sloppy, better off renting a kayak and going out yourself, rather take the risk of being unfamiliar with the area then the fiasco that this was.

Red and Wes are a hoot!! Had a great time. Took us right to the reefs for snorkeling and saw so many fish, eels and the coral is amazing. The turtle cleaning station where the fish eat. The algae off their backs was absolutely amazing. Wes knew exactly where to take us.!!

Good gear, great guide (Wes), saw lots of fish, turtles and coral as we went in non-whale season.

All gear is provided and our guide Wes did a great job. Roger was on time with the equipment and provided leashes for our glasses so we could see and not lose them. Weather was gorgeous and we did see a whale even this late in the season.

This is definitely worth a lifetime kayak adventure. There’s no doubt that Roger and Wes knew everything about viewing whales up close in person. It was an amazing experience that I will never forget. Looking forward to going back next time I am in Maui during whale season. My highest gratitude to Roger for staying in touch during a difficult time, after 2 weeks of unpredictable weather, and for making this tour happen anyway. And I’d like to give Wes a special thanks for leading us to the exact spot to meet a mama whale and a baby whale. This encounter has been my dream come true. YES!!! Some advice for fellow travelers: 1. contact the vendor directly as Viator messaging system is not reliable. 2. You need enough strength to kayak up to a mile.

We had a great time with Wes. Seeing a whale and her and calf then snorkeling from kayaks and swimming with turtles is a lifetime memory!! Thank you! Also, traffic was bad when our trip was over, so Wes helped to signal to traffic and we could easily pull out.

Wes took us out at Olowalu and we kayaked, snorkeled, and saw many beautiful fish, turtles, and two humpback whales!! It was a spectacular morning, clear water and in the right spot at the right time!!

Fantastic snorkel experience. Would book with them again. Wesley was our guide and he was so helpful. We saw seven turtles at one time.

Literally right @ mile marker 14. Great people, guide took care of me, 1st time kayaker, good gear, water was beautiful, plenty fish and turtles.
