Il santuario di Olimpia si estende su un paesaggio ammaliante che giace ai piedi della collina di Kronius. Ciò lo ha reso un luogo ideale per i Giochi Olimpici che si sono tenuti ogni quattro anni per onorare Zeus. Una volta lì, visiterai il tempio di Zeus che ospitava una delle sette meraviglie del mondo e il tempio di Era, dove è accesa la torcia olimpica. Il Museo Archeologico espone opere di arte antica di fama mondiale e reperti del periodo classico, i famosi frontoni del tempio di Zeus, Nike di Paionios e Hermes of Prassitele.
A un soffio dal museo e dalle rovine di Olimpia, puoi incontrare Klio e sua madre nella sua fattoria. Klio ti accoglierà con un vassoio di frutta di stagione, succo fresco e caffè, in un giardino pieno di alberi da frutto e verdure. I visitatori dell'antica Olimpia hanno ora l'opportunità di provare i sapori autentici della terra greca assaggiando l'olio extra vergine di oliva, le olive e i vini prodotti dalla famiglia. La spiaggia di Saint Andrew è molto vicina al porto di Katakolon, si trova dietro la collina di Katakolon e dista solo 4 km. La spiaggia con sabbia fitta e rocce durante l'estate è piena di vita. Ha una magnifica vista sul mare. C'è anche un caffè e un ristorante tradizionale dove qualcuno può gustare un caffè o un pasto.

We were traveling on Celebrity Cruise ship and decided on this particular tour. The tour company was in constant contact with us and gave clear instructions to where to meet our guide. Our guide was Joanne and she was energetic and experienced and made our tour very interesting. We visited the Olympia site and museum and visited the honey farm. Overall we had an amazing time.

My family of six spent the day with Dora, visiting the archaeological site of Olympia and the museum, the honey farm and olive factory. We had the best day with Dora. She is an excellent tour guide. I am very particular with tours and Dora was absolutely perfect. She was informative and clear with her instructions, a great driver and great company. She arranged a wonderful tour guide for us at the archaeological site of Olympia and at the museum. She made sure everything ran smoothly and effortlessly. The whole event was lovely and stress-free. My entire family, including for teenage/young adult children loved the tour. My daughter forgot to get a picture that she wanted from the honey farm and Dora took it and sent it to us the next time she was there She went above and beyond for us in every way. I truly cannot recommend Dora and this tour company highly enough. Everything was amazing.

We did the 7 hour Katakolon / Olympia tour in July 2026. It was very hot! But we had a great day! Everything was seamless with Dora and we appreciated her nice air conditioned Mercedes van. From the archaeological site and lovely museum, to the honey farm, an olive oil tasting, lunch and the beach, we had a wonderful time.

Dora was fantastic to work with as I was planning a large group with 17 people. She was very accommodating when our cruise ship changed the times we were in port. Fantastic experience. Joanna was our tour leader, and she accommodated our every request across all of the different events, even getting us a personal guide at the last moment for Olympia. We had less time than we expected, so we didn't get to do all of the events, but Joanna worked with us to ensure we did all the things we wanted and spent the time we had on what we preferred.
