Tour classico dell'area di Kaohsiung

Take the high speed rail from Taipei all the way south and enjoy the sites of another city for the day. The high speed train takes about an hour and a half and is fairly easy to navigate. Andy picked us up at the rail terminal, showed us around all day long and then dropped us back off. We were back in Taipei for dinner. He was a phenomenal host! In spite of the rain we had an awesome time.

Andy was willing and able to accept the tour request with little notice. Very friendly and accommodating throughout the Kaohsiung tour! Great balance in touring + letting me further explore areas by myself!

Andy picked us up directly from our hotel and took us around Kaohsiung for the day. We started at Lotus Pond, then visited some Buddhist temples in the area before heading over to Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum. He even brought us fruit and milk tea to enjoy over the hour long car ride! After the museum we spent the afternoon in Cijin island, exploring and shopping around the city, and ending the day at the dome of light near our hotel.

I had an outstanding experience on the Kaohsiung Classic Area Tour with Andy as our guide. The tour truly exceeded expectations. Andy is incredibly knowledgeable about every point of interest we visited. He didn’t just provide surface-level information—he shared meaningful history, cultural insights, and local stories. What really set Andy apart was his personality. He is friendly, kind, and genuinely helpful. His flexibility was especially appreciated—he went out of his way to adjust the itinerary and include additional stops that matched my personal interests, which made the experience feel customized rather than generic. On top of that, Andy is an expert navigator. Getting around Kaohsiung was seamless and efficient. Thanks to Andy, I was able to see more than I expected and truly experience the charm of Kaohsiung. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city—especially if you want a knowledgeable, accommodating, and passionate guide who goes the extra mile to make your trip memorable.

Fantastic day in Kaohsiung with Sophi, the guide. She was great and showed us many highlights. Regrettably we ran out of time and would have been great if we have more time. She provided very good service and was flexible to cater to our preferences. Great work 👍

Our tour took us on a 45-minute drive (each way) to the Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum where we saw the Buddha's relic (believed to be one of only 3 teeth from Buddha) and participated in a variety activities like copying Chinese caligraphy. It was all very enjoyable followed by coffee and red bean cake in their extensive visitor's centre. Then we asked our driver to take us to where he would have lunch in Kaohsiung -- and that proved delightful. We had the most wonderful noodles at the Gang Yuan Beef Noodle Restaurant -- a small place full of locals. Highly recommended. We ended our tour with a visit to the Pier 2 area, and the Old Street pedestrian shopping area. Our driver's limited English was not problematic and you could say it added authenticity to the whole experience. He was flexible and took us where we wanted to go.

Andy was an absolutely incredible guide! He shared such interesting information with us and ensured we had enough time to explore each stop on the itinerary based on our interest. We are so grateful we were paired with Andy for this tour and will contact him again for our next trip to Taiwan. A simply unforgettable day that made our visit to Kaohsiung well worth it.

Places are good, we had fun. But better to go there during winter. Andy is a great tour guide, kind and accomodating. will definitely recommend it to our friends and families.
