Un tranquillo e sereno tempio Zen circondato dalla foresta, il tempio Jochiji fu costruito nel 1281 da Hojo Tokoyori, un Leader dello Shogunato Kamakura, per onorare suo figlio che era morto giovane. È bello passeggiare per i terreni di questo tempio, godendo delle lussureggianti aiuole e dei boschetti di bambù. Ricordati di strofinare la pancia della statua di Hotei, poiché si dice che questo ti porti fortuna.
Goditi la splendida natura che circonda il passo.
Successivamente camminerete lungo il Daibutsu Hiking Course attraverso le montagne fino a raggiungere un misterioso buco nella collina, incorniciato da un cancello torii. Attraversate quel buco e troverete il Santuario Zeniarai Benzaiten Ugafuku. Costruito nel 1185, il santuario emana fortemente il profumo dell'incenso ed è pieno di una rara miscela di monumenti shintoisti e buddisti. Esplora fino a trovare una piccola grotta con una sorgente naturale che gorgoglia all'interno. Qui, la gente lava i propri soldi nell'acqua della sorgente poiché si dice che i soldi lavati in primavera raddoppieranno in estate.
Secondo la leggenda, il primo Shogun di Kamakura Minamoto Yoritomo fu visitato in sogno da una volpe bianca (conosciuta come Inari) che gli consigliò come vincere una battaglia contro i suoi nemici. Emerso vittorioso dalla battaglia, Minamoto costruì il Santuario di Sasuke Inari in segno di gratitudine. Incastonato tra le montagne circondate da una fitta foresta verde, lì si trova un tunnel composto da oltre 100 porte torii rosse, proprio come Fushimi Inari Taisha a Kyoto. Il santuario contiene anche centinaia di mini volpi inari bianche e il sito di un antico "villaggio nascosto".
Il grande Buddha Kamakura è alto 13,35 metri e pesa circa 121 tonnellate. La costruzione della statua di bronzo di Buddha come appare oggi risale al 1252. È una delle più grandi statue di Buddha in Giappone e vale sicuramente la pena di vedere. Si può anche entrare all'interno della grande statua.
Il Tempio di Hasedera si trova a circa metà del monte Kamakura. Il tempio, quindi, gode di un'ottima vista a sud sull'oceano e sulla pittoresca spiaggia di Yuigahama. Durante giugno e luglio si possono vedere i terreni pieni di ortensie in fiore. Hasedera ospita una statua Kannon alta 9,18 metri con 11 teste - una delle più grandi statue buddiste in legno in Giappone. C'è anche una piccola ma spettrale e suggestiva grotta da esplorare nei giardini.
La spiaggia è esposta a sud quindi si sta sempre andando a vedere il sole sopra l'oceano da questo punto. Rilassati e rilassati qui e cogli le incantevoli viste! Durante l'estate c'è un mercato all'aperto chiamato Umi-no-ie che è buono da controllare.

My partner and I had a fantastic tour through Kamakura with Terry. He was knowledgeable and very sociable. The tour was comprehensive but affordable with a relaxed atmosphere. It was simply very fun and informative. I think this tour is best for small groups of 2-5
