Excellent hotel facility and location....can view the volcano from the front of the hotel and inside the hotsoring too. Japanese lunch was very good and the hotdpring was simply amusing.

Everything was beautiful. The food was outstanding and the spa was amazing. I would highly recommend somebody wanting an authentic Japanese experience in a beautiful environment to do this.
Highly recommend this tour. It was a little scary because we didn't have a tour guide. We took a taxi about a 25 minute ride to the hotel from the ship pier. Shiroyama Hotel is a beautiful hotel located on a mountain side overlooking the volcano across the bay. Lunch was fine. It was a Japanese box lunch with tea, soup and desert. Sushi and vegetables. A lot of locals were in the restaurant so it must be good. There was an elaborate Japanese wedding going on in the hotel which proved very interesting. The Bossen spa was very nice and extremely clean. No tattoos allowed and no bathing suits. Men on one side, women on the other. Hot mineral spring baths outside overlooking the bay and the volcano. Cold pool available. Very relaxing experience with strict rules on behavior.
