Guidare attraverso Downtown Juneau. Passiamo davanti a edifici storici del boom minerario del 1900, tra cui il più antico hotel attualmente operativo in Alaska! Passiamo anche il Campidoglio dell’Alaska, sede del governo statale, e il Palazzo del Governatore.
Ammira i paesaggi di Juneau dalla punta sud dell'isola Douglas. Ammira anche alcune delle rovine, come la casa delle pompe, della Treadwell Mine, una miniera d'oro crollata oltre cento anni fa.
Una maestosa statua di balena in bronzo a grandezza naturale si erge come commemorazione artistica di oltre cinquant'anni di stato dell'Alaska. Vista panoramica sul Canale di Gastineau e Douglas Island. Le opportunità fotografiche abbondano.
Questo splendido lago ha come sfondo la splendida catena montuosa delle Mendenhall Towers e si può intravedere il ghiacciaio Mendenhall. Relativamente a una foto scattata sul sito un secolo fa, si può vedere quanto drasticamente il ghiacciaio sia cambiato nel tempo.
Un grande photo op del ghiacciaio Mendenhall, con un bellissimo prato di alghe in primo piano! Potrai anche conoscere la recente alluvione annuale del fiume Mendenhall.
Che tu ti consideri religioso o meno, questo luogo sacro offre una vista mozzafiato sui suoi giardini ben curati, così come sulle montagne circostanti e sull'oceano. Possono essere avvistate aquile e balene, così come salmoni in riproduzione (a seconda del mese).
Imparerai tutto il ciclo vitale del salmone. All'interno l'incubatoio comprende due piscine touch, un acquario cilindrico e un negozio di souvenir. (Nota: la scala esterna dei salmoni apre il 21 giugno; di solito si possono avvistare animali selvatici come aquile, foche e leoni marini).

Very beautiful excursion and experience. We had good exchanges with the guide, Allan, and he adapted the tour to our group. As French speakers, we did not have any trouble understanding him or making ourselves understood. The stopover points were all well-chosen and interesting. We highly recommend it.

Allan was an awesome tour guide! He was very knowledgeable, accommodating, and communicative. His car was clean and comfortable for all 5 of us. We really enjoyed the locations he took us to and he made sure that we got back to our cruise ship well before gangway up. We would highly recommend his tour to anyone looking for a way to see more of Juneau without having to go on a crowded tour bus. It was a beautiful day that surpassed our expectations!

Our private tour with Allan was a great way to see many highlights of the Juneau area.. the salmon hatchery is a must see.. truly fascinating! That was just one of our stops. Allan is a great tour guide with tons of information. Our time flew by and we even came upon several bald eagles at the harbor that we were able to see close up… incredible!
